Warlock Terminology Explained

The Warlock class has some of the most complicated, hidden, and mistranslated skills ever. With the few days of struggle that I've gone through, this is what I've come up with.

Brand

A status effect applied to an enemy

Enemies affected by Brand:

  • Can be targeted by Leech (prerequisite has translation error)
  • Will take increased damage from T2S1 Imprison
  • Will take increased damage from T2S1 Wingstorm
  • Will give more healing when crit hit by T3S2 Wingstorm
  • Will be pulled by T5S1 Obliterate

Skills that apply Brand:

  • Soul Shackle
  • T1S1 Tether Blade

Target

A status effect applied to an enemy

Enemies affected by Target:

  • Can be targeted by the Thrall's Nether Pulse skill
  • Can be targeted by Bombardment with instant cast

Skills that apply Target:

  • Dragoncall (And Dragon Helix)
  • Rupture
  • Awakened Rupture
  • T3S1 Summon/Claw/Pulse (3 different skill icons, 3 different names, but the same skill tree)

Siphon

A status effect applied to the player

During Siphon:

  • Bombardment gains various decreased cooldown effects
  • T1S1 Leech gives additional Focus recovery
  • T3S1 Leech gives 20% increased crit chance

Leech is the only skill that applies Siphon

Spectral Orb

A status effect applied to the player. Can be stacked up to 3 times.

Spectral Orbs are consumed when casting Dragoncall

Skills that give Spectral Orbs:

  • T5S4 Soul Shackle
  • T3S1 Imprison
  • T3S2 Imprison
  • T5S3 Dragon Helix
  • Leech
  • T1S1 Rupture
  • Awakened Rupture
  • Wingstorm
  • Nether Pulse
  • T3S4 Dimensional Volley

Soulburn

A buff applied to the player and nearby party members

Changes various skills to do different things. Every class gets affected differently. There are too many changes to list them all here.

Can only be applied with T2S2 Obliterate

If I missed anything please let me know. I'm noob and only human, so take it easy on me.
