Take flight will not knock summoner into the air???

i have tested this over and over with my friend I use my skill that dazes and then I hit take flight but he doesn't go into the air ever he only falls down what gives?

Are you sure your not using anklebiter? Or anklesnare (I forgot which one is for BM). They could also have some other CD to know themselves on the floor for take flight prevention. They could have also evaded.

Ive actually seen this on Tuesday night in Arena a couple of times i used take flight and boom nothing they go straight into stealth

 

Edit: You see the animation of them going up but barely leave the ground ive seen this with Summoners and Destro
