Confusion

*Disclaimer: I'm not no certified tech, IT Network specialist, but do know a thing or 2.. cheers*

So I decided to watch my network resources to see where everything routes as I connect to the game.

 

Launcher itself provides a battery of IP's, then the Client(Game) Itself bring up another 4

(sometimes 5) Main Ip's. One (1) Ip appears in both Launcher and Client :

 

64.25.35.100 - Ping & Tracert shows this to be NCSoft.com Located in Livingston NY. 

The other 3(4) are located in fact Austin, TX 
64.25.35.237

64.25.35.253

64.25.35.29
(64.25.35.63)

So which one of those 4(5) servers Controls Skills because I can move, chat to Npc, collect Items without trouble, but skills dont activate or they delay. The TX Ip's are first to Spike then the NY Ip.

 

Also Tracert  to those IP's has 4 Hops that goes to EU before getting to the final destination...

Thank Beejeebus for WTFast and PingZapper. Dont know how to play this game with it, I live in the Caribbean and have none of this issue with Aion my /ping is always 100-120 (raw) 80-100 (WTfast) which isnt too impressive but gets the job done.

Not even Tera which I re-installed and cramp up graphics a bit do I have this skill lag issue. So whats up with Your multiple routes to servers and this game why I cant play properly.

Ive tried using both of them and none of em work. and my ping spikes up at like 400 before i even enter arena ;-;

Gotta use the one with best ping and choose Texas. well Pingzapper only worked if i choose Texas (maybe cus I use trial jus for test purposes)

 

Or which ever is directly (inline) closet to you and Texas for me WTFast Always choose FL and TX (with Auto) So i use TX on Manual works for me.

 

Dude my ping spike up into the 1k's mang....  which messes up my win to loss ratio cus i might win so easy first round and then loose terrible second or vice versa which socks...

No like with them it doesn't even launch the game either gives me an error or it says server is down for maint. >.<

Ping Zapper : Have to manually choose any of the Texas Ip's (click ping to get the best one usually 2 or 4) Click on the little wrench like icon to edit and choose save when done.

WTfast you have to Manually setup the game should be easy to search in here or youtube a vid.  
 

If you have done all this and still getting that eror are you using a VPN (liek hotspot shield) to connect (bypass) or have a manual DNS server in your IP4v settings?

Nope i either get a server is down for maint, game isnt installed or just a straight up launcher error idk why either im doing everything correctly. I dont think im using any sort of VPN or anything not sure though dont know much about em

Are you trying to play on the EU servers or the NA ones?  I'd assume you should be using the NA ones if you're in the Caribbean, but if your tracert is going to germany/frankfurt, sounds like you're trying to log into the EU ones.

 

As for the "server location", from what I understand *none* of the servers are actually in Austin.  The U.S. ones are in Dallas, and the EU ones are in Germany.  However the address of record for the owner of the IP is in Austin, which is why the geo location for the IP's erroneously says they're there.

I should try playing on EU and using and EU Wtfast server and see what happens...
