Computer freeze after installing win 10

I see that there are several threads that involve crashing and freeze, They do not seem to be similar to mine. If this is not unique feel free to merge.   

Problem:

I just upgraded to windows 10 and now im getting a hard freeze about every 20 min to an hour. Sometimes it happens when loading, but sometimes it happens just standing there. I have to press the power button and force my computer off and to reboot. 

Before Win 10 I was getting a diff bug but no freezes. 

This behaves like a memory leak of some sort. ( I am not a programmer but have seen many mmo launches and many memory leaks) 

I have looked at the known issues and I have tried disabling all processes, and I have lowered graphics settings, but it still freezes. 

Is this the kind of thing where we just wait for a patch? 

System: Amd fx 6 / Nvidia gtx770, / Win 10
