  1. You raise a good point, although i have 8 characters i've had to use 2 of them as storage characters as i've unlocked all storage spaces + premium on 2 characters and i still frequently hit space limits.

    Theres allot of cosmetics and cosmetics that cant be put into F3 even after all these years.

  2. Ever since the update on the 20th of October Koldrakes has some serious issues for me.


    What happens?

    • I can only cast 1 skill every 4-12 seconds.
    • FPS fluctuates very erratically every second. (ranges from 2frames to 60)
    • The moment the boss is dead everything goes back to normal, FPS stabilizes back to 90+, interactions with npcs and skills become responsive.

    Observations to whats causing the issues:

    • It seems random however fights where the group dps is slow or low theres no lag or issues at all. (fights that last 2+ minutes)
    • Its at its worst by very high attack speeds and the boss is getting killed extremely quickly (in groups that last less than1 minute) from players around me. Possibly too much animation canceling?
    • Hiding other players doesnt fix it.
    • Adjusting graphics settings has no effect either.

    Techinical specs of my computer:

    Windows 10 (fully updated)

    MSI b450 Mortar Max, (latest bios and driver sets)+ Ryzen 5 3600, 16gb 3200mhz C16 ram

    Game installed on a Nvme M.2 Intel 660p 1tb (600gb free)

    Powercolor Red Dragon RX 6800 (latest Radeon drivers installed too) SAM Disabled

     

    Ping 240-290

    GPU temps are stable at 54celsius, CPU temps 68 celsius

  3. My summoner main is literally swimming in Martial Remnants, moonlit petals and many other exchange coins. but they are absolutely useless to that character now. Would be great to move em to my alts to help bring them up and extend my playtime.

     

    Same with Costumes and weapon skins. Kept an oceanic box in hope i could one day put a tuna fish on a destroyer when i got around to making one. But thats still not possible.

    Im so shocked... like im out of interesting stuff to buy in blade and soul. Even the premium discount is discouraging. Still lock us out of an account wide storage for costumes and duplicates.

     

    Meantime in Warframe Almost everything available at anytime day/night and as a result i've spent over $1000 compared to blade and soul...

    I dont beleive in pay to win but it seems like that is the only type of income Blade and Soul wants.


    But this is the financial model of a free to play game. So i guess any kind of change from their original market estimates is going to be a very hard wall to break down.

    This happeened to me yesterday too. Missed the daily because of it.

    After last weeks hotfix my FPS now to drops to 2-15 the moment people started hitting bosses in 12 mans. (far lower fps than the smooth 80-120 i was getting before Wednesday 13th of october update.

     

    My temps arent a problem.

    RX 6800 is sitting at 54 degrees celsius

    Ryzen 5 3600 CPU 62 degrees celsius

    Speedtest also reported 268mbps download 28 mbps upload

    i dont use custom xml or even bns buddy or any other 3rd party app i see people talking about.

  6. I like the event.. But this is one of my favourite dungeons ingame.

    Miss the old 24 mans in this setting too. Everything is a much slower pace and theres allot less knockdown and CC spam to disrupt you from having fun. More emphasis on just moving and positioning. Cant stand how every dungeon ingame in the last few years must knock, stun or down you every 10 seconds and punish you with mistiming because character hitboxes are desynched with your actual position.

     

    Idk what happened to the creative team at NcKorea but this made me realise that dungeon and boss design has gone down the toilet since the early days of the game. They have no creative ways to make the game fun and engaging. But then maybe its been designed that way to push the pay to win aspect.

  7. I find it interesting comparing this game with Warframe. 2 MMO's I've heavily invested in over the last 10 years. When Warframe added very hard and challenging content the player engagement statistics nosedived on that content. Even when they built an event around it. Only 2% of the player base even bothered with it. Which is why they announced in live streams that they will remove raids and constantly nerf bosses like Jordas.


    Cabal Online, Dragon nest, Rappelz. I've seen allot of MMO's fall into this same trap of focusing all new content around the top 2% and then wondering why active populations dwindle? No matter how hungry a baby shark gets if you throw gold fish flakes to it. It's going to look for other food not gobble up the fish flakes.

     

    I hoped the UE4 update would allow NC to show what they'd learnt over the last 6 years for maintaining a healthy population from not just the BnS community but from other MMO's in the market that have broken the trend and continued to grow overtime.

     

    My issue with Blade and Soul NA today is there is no 'pickup and just play content with your friends' anymore because the goalposts have been stretched so far apart. Cant even carry some friends to dungeons because their gear means their HP is so low they literally cant survive 1 swipe from an easy mode boss. There's also an awfully big disparity between class balance and utility. No one enjoys laying facedown on the floor for 6 minutes. A few hours a day while they slowly acquire materials needed to simply be viable.

     

    Final point. Why do they even make all these flashy and nice skill effects if we have to turn them off in the dungeons to see boss animations to survive anyway? The games artistic design does not fit with the way its been balanced in my view. I actually enjoyed Blade and Soul more at level 36-45 than i do now. Because it was allot more simple and much easier to pickup and play back then.

     

    In saying all that, this game still has issues with boss/mob animation and attack desynch making evading attacks impossible which makes so called easy mode even harder for those who experience it.

    That is not easy mode...and not for characters doing call to arms. I do not know what they were thinking and can only speculate they want you to buy their keys at end of event if you don't have some high geared friend to carry you every day through the dungeons.
    That's just my experience. The dungeons before this update were very doable with 1500ap characters. Now its like hardmode dubbed easy.

    Ohh so thats why i saw them say they'll put keys in cash shop...

    Just realised in writing this reply the games resolution seems to be set by the windows desktop resolution. (bugged? cant change the display mode of the game)

     

    I've got similar hardware to you but im running an rx6800 (5120x2160 desktop resolution) ultrawide and acheiving my set fps limit of 90 in open world/dungeons. 30-50 in mushin.

     

    You should try dropping the resolution quality in the advanced settings tab. i didnt see any major difference in quality between when its set to 3 5.

  10. Definitely loving the graphics update.
    I've been lucky enough to not suffer performance issues aswell (50-110fps) at max settings.

     

    ryzen 3600

    16gb 3200mhz ram

    rx 6800

    3440x1440 resolution.

    Fps does tank to 30 in Mushin tower when theres 25+ people around but ofcourse thats gonna happen. Dropping the resolution slider on the advanced tab brings it back up to 50 in those rare cases.

    You never know. I always thought if you optimise your game better it means people can put off the next hardware upgrade which means they'll have more money to spend on NcCoin. But its just a unproven theory.

    You get it! Looking at the current hardware market prices and availability are pretty scary right now with not much sign of an improvement. DLSS and FSR Im excited for both technologies.

    I do think the UE4 update would come with an internal resolution scaler and im pretty certain Nvidia and older AMD cards have a driver side sharpening filter. So if the AA implementation on UE4 is good we could probably get near enough results without FSR. It's just no where near as simple to tune for a user as it would be to have a FSR/DLSS quality/performance toggle in the menu.
