Esp them to blame, yeah bugs can happpen: No Biggie! yeah, bugs can stay undetect: No Biggie! but this but was reported and NOT fixed for 5months+ after initially reported. Keeping the market in mind petpods lost huge chunk of value around Nov last year, making this bug almost a year old. If we now consider the people that noticed/got told took their sweet time getting pods, selling for profit, stacking up long before they started selling.
Staff in itself have if only copypaste skill, since our dearest NC West staff cant do anything about the game. Its 100% KR at fault for neglecting the bugs for a vast amount of patch cycles rendering it by deffinition a feature.

So NCThieves stole my own not exploited pet pods and my own designer threads that i obtained with using real money and refuse to return stolen goods.

Result is quite opposite. I didn't abuse "exploit" (which is actually not exploit but nvm that), but ncsoft handling of this issue made me feels stupid that i didnt, so next time, even if i will not play the game, ill login just to "abuse" it to the maximum :)

Not true. My account got pet pods removed and i have made ZERO pet pods by using merchant (not exploit but your mistake).

I cant care enough tbh. For me this is like, i had fun in some pub but service eventually became crap, waitress started bringing warm drinks, stealing money on bills etc. Would you be sad and pissed or just go to other pub? ;)

And guys just stop explaining things. They don't listen and don't care and in the end have no means to fix this mess even if they want. Go cancel your subs instead, that's only language they understand.

@Hime I'm pretty sure you can check my payment record in last 4 years. Your company will never get single euro form me ever again. Not because i care about that couple pet pods, but because I don't like being "punished" when i actually did not abuse anything. Even without that, your incompetence in managing game is so huge that if i would put aside this personal "insult" form you, you definitely don't deserve any money for the "work" you are doing.

Even today i see ppl selling pet pods for 70g, which means that this "purge" actually did nothing good. Ones who abused it most sure knew to mail all to another character or account.

Well everything will "drain" eventually. Even oils would. That does not change fact that company that lets something like this to happen (ie. let some players obtain for free something that others had to invest money / work) is not really good motivation for players to invest either real money or work in future.

It would cost them dearly if they do that. Obviously this game uses pay to progress as motivating factor for players to spend money. Devaluation of second most important item for that progress is very demotivating for targets of this concept (read: players that spend money). Just imagine it like this: Why I was / should spend money on this when ncsoft is / will give it for free anyways.

Well i don't see a point in spamming this thread with this discussion. Noone sane is buying sealed scales on market. Anyone with 5+ mil dps can solo CC, or if you dont have 5m dps you get at least 1.5 scales per day just by doing top dungeons on easy mode. My main parses 15m atm. You understand gear difference between 5m and 15m right? Over and out on this topic about scales ;)

Cmon those scales are in game for almost a year now. My alts are nowhere close to be max geared. Ofc my main is. Steels? ET raid weapon ones? That raid is like what 15 months old? I sure understand not all players are on that lvl of gear, but trust me huge number of people are, and have absolutely no issue in getting scales.

How they continue form this point is irrelevant, whatever they do it cant be fair resolution. Incompetence in handling this issue is not good will of some GM or community manager, its essential inability to deal with technical problems that sure can and will arise in future.

So 67 pet pods are removed form my account that I haven't got by using merchant (not that i care at this point about 67 pet pods, its about principle:)). I didn't get any single pet pod by abusing merchant, I only salvaged some outfits out of curiosity, felt bad doing that and tossed threads to storage so they have what to remove in case they decide to do it. So that threads are removed (which is ok), some threads that i had form before are removed too (which is not ok), and 67 pet pods that are totally unrelated with all this are removed (why??).
On other side you have players that:
- maxed out their pets and talismans that are not reverted or touched in any way
- converted hundreds of pet pods to pet packs that are not touched in any ways
- mailed enormous number of pet pods to characters that did't touch merchant and got to keep em all
- made shitton of gold that is not removed, by selling pet pods, pets, outfits...So players like me that actually restrained and didn't have any profit form abusing this bug are punished, while others that abused it to maximum got to keep their profit / gains form that abuse.
@Hime Is that actually message to your players that next time you want us to abuse any exploit as much as possible?

Well I was buying all those boxes back in time, but i really have no idea exactly which outfits i had and which i didn't, so its pointless to submit some ticket for that. Anyways thanks for reassuring me in decision that after 4 years of regular spending of real money in this game i should not spend single euro more ever again.

Yes ncsoft handled this issue horrible, yes this "solution" they are doing right now for sure wont be fair, and yes you got baited as a cat to free food, its difficult to resist right ;) But lets not all play dumb here and say that everyone who was doing it was not aware it was not intended way to make profit and unfair in its essence.

Well none with common sense blame NCWest staff for this. However silly was that announcement form poor GM that become main meme in all this thing, that's not root of the problem. Obviously NCSoft central didn't provide NCWest with enough technical capabilities to resolve simple issue like this on its own.

I sure didn't mean they will have "infinite" amount of gold, its not possible, use common sense damn it. But extremes that's using scripts automate abusing process will be setled "forever".
And how many player returned is best visible that everything in game except bamboo village and arena looks deserted atm. Very positive signs :)
And well this discussion is pointless really, seems everyone have own sense of fairness. My one tells me that i no longer wish to participate in all this. As i said its not just about this merch issue, there are many pointers that ncsoft is giving up on ncwest and simply dont care to keep game in any decent state, so well i dont care to support it anymore, as simple as that. Over and out.
