SCorvids
Hey all, I've been following the votes on the current contest with self admitted bit of shame. Watched a particular contestant go from 0 votes to 17 within not even half a minute so i wonder, are there any prevention to people voting from same IP/voting from newly made accounts at the end of the voting system? @Rynara(sorry if tagging is disallowed) The rules weren't too self explanatory this time around and a post from 2015 did say using a bot system is the only reason why someone could get disqualified. Have votes been ignored before? I'd like to know how it works before entering a different contest myself, thank you! I'd like more comprehensive ruleset for the next contest if possible as well.
Vy06
I would agree that not allowing "new accounts" vote unless they have been established for 30 days would be a rule to prevent spam voting from one person. I however whole heartedly disagree on IP restrictions, because there are lots of people including me who play with more than 1 person from same house/IP address. People voting from the same IP doesn't constitute cheating.
NCSOFT Rynara Posted November 1, 2022 NCSOFT Share Posted November 1, 2022 We will be reviewing votes for suspicious behavior by using various criteria to decide whether we need to disqualify specific votes or not. We will however not be disclosing any details on the actions we may take publicly. We also have additional rules in place regarding voting linked in our Promotion General Rules.
