Abandoned Post quest

While playing as Gun Slinger and wearing the Blackram outfit I was able to damage the friendly NPCs following me in the cave using the spell Scorched Earth which in turn made them attack me. Can't confirm if Gun Slinger issue or if all AoE spells on all classes do this while using the Blackram outfit. Other similar quests might be affected as well.
