How to solve Debugger issue.

I exchanged 3 emails with tech support within 24 hours of reporting this problem.  We went through lots of attempts to isolate the problem.  When the techie suggested I uninstall AVG, I drew the line and was about to delete the game.  However, luckily I also had a problem with AVG free at the time and decided to reinstall it.  I deleted it and was about to reinstall it when I decided to start BnS ... it worked and the debugger message was gone!

 

Bottom-Line:  Uninstall AVG free and install Avast free instead.
