cant play

after i updated, everything seemed to be fine and i logged in once, got to the characterscreen but i ended up not playing and exiting out because i had to do something. Now every time i try to play, the game is running slower than ever out of no where, making it impossible to play. whats up??

Also wanted to add, that the game also makes this static kind of sound like what you would hear on a tv or the radio.
