client closing with a error message

sooo yesterday everything worked fine, today i started the game and i had the 4049 message. After hours of googling around, ive found that possible workaround for the error 4049. I restarted my pc and tried launching the game again but nope, still not working. Ive tried disabeling firewall/avg/anything, nothing seems to work. My client is closing after i press play, i can see the blade and souls logo but its closing with a error message.

If you look around the forums there are solution already, it's the missing npgg9x.des. Delete the gameguard folder let it redownload and crash, then place the failed to update npgg9x in from outside source and game will run.

ive tried deleting gameguard and everything before, i re-downloaded the GG folder of march to fix it ( i saw the workaround in another thread)

Im still having the problem of my client closing after i press play. the blade and souls logo is popping up but its closing with a windows message now that the programm isnt working lol.

I have downloaded that file several times, npgg9x.des  is not in there either.

I open and find it now, and have tried to copy or move it to C:\Program Files (x86)\NCsoft\BnS\bin\GameGuard. Each time a window opens and it asks me if I want to replace the same damn file name and replace it with itself. So it's seeing the file in there, but when I open it, it is absolutely NOT in there. I'm ready to scream.

Program File directory require admin permission to place/replace file in. Something went wrong there. You could try take the folder out to desktop, place npgg9x in and place in the folder.

 

My game is installed on C:\BnS so is easy for me.

 

@melleyu Try check the npgg9x CRC match with the one from my screenshot. Maybe try delete the whole bin folder and let it redownload, and try place in the npgg9x after the crash. Also do verify with launcher before place in the npp9x.

I am using admin... when I try to either move or copy the file it says "destination file already exists". But when I open it and look at GameGuard it is absolutely not in there.

YAY! I've been trying to move it and like I said, it DID make me approve admin perms and such, but when I moved the file out to desktop, added the file and moved it back... it works. THANK YOU!

 

Of course now after all these hours I have to leave, but at least it's working.

bns has stopped working.

Is a general program error for programs that crashed. We know is gameguard's fault. It could be the npp9x you got there is not compatible for windows 7 because it works for windows 10 users, i don't know.

 

Try restart PC and launch game, if doesn't work then i'm out of idea. Have to wait for players with windows 7 and working game advise :/
