Sevih
Hello fellows, as some of you already know me, some of you may not, I am CotTan(Definitely not CotTan), one of the few BD that made to Diamond few days after game release. Recently I just switched to some better network lowered my in game ping from 70 to 50, and with enough upload I can finally start streaming and making tutorials. First episode of my tutorial, I would like to share the most fundamental thing-- the skill build that I use against each other class. In fact my tutorial does not talk about combo, but the thoughts and things you may want to know after you get used to the basic combos already. This tutorial’s goal is to boost all Gold BD to Plat. The Standard build.L--3 pts in Flicker, crti hit on stun and creates one electric focus each crti. R--2pts in Lighning Strike, suppose to be 3pts but not enough skill pts in our current patch. F--2pts in Flash Step(turn into lighting flash), main damage source after C, combo with Flicker. This is the part where low ping player has the advantage a lot, people who live in Texas with 20 ping can do 3 groups of L+F in a single stun, players who has more then 40 ping can only do 2 groups, often times result in about 6k or even more damage lose in each burst. If your ping is around 80 or more, you are likely to get a feeling of stuck(skill won’t go off) while trying to do L+F. Tab—2pts in vortex, spin to not lose. Tab—2pts in Reversal, your only stun break, use it carefully. Z—3pts in Soaring Flacon, extra focus recovery, keeps you spin. 2—2pts in Raid, charge and stun. 3—1pt in Anklebiter, save your focus. 4—1pt in Phantom Grip, focus recover and waste your opponent’s time. Z—2pts in Guardian Tempest, hp recover is not that important when we are already pt starved.. Z—Flock of Blades, use it only when you up against a Summoner, FM, Destroyer,or a BD X—3pts in Five Point Strike, you want this no matter what. C—3pts in Lightning Draw, 1pt is necessary, 3pts is optional, if you need skill point on somewhere else, try get it from here. V—3pts in Dual Strike, it’s actually 8 meters redius. That’s all for the standard basic builds, all other special build to counter each other classes are all modified based on this. You don’t need Z-(flock of blades). 2. Change Tab spin to maelstrom, use maelstrom to dodge BM’s pull. 3.You may want to consider using F—Blitzblade, median CD, cancel block and recover focus, combo this with a gap closer, get skill pts from C. 5. BM’s protection skill, prevent all projectiles, Blitzblade will not go thru. 6. BM’s pull is 36 seconds CD, same as your Z skill. Try to time it. 7. When you see BM SS, spin, he is very likely to charge with a pentaslash. 8. BM’s kick will stun any target that is using a defensive skill-(block, counter.) You don’t need Z-(flock of blades) 2. Try stay at least 8m away from KFM, or keeps him on the ground. 3. You want maelstrom, spin speed up for you to run, maelstrom to dodge KFM’s long range kick that cannot be deflected. Side tip: most of the time maelstrom is much more useful then the deflect spin, a lot classes has a lot skills that that pierces spin, good players won’t hit your deflect anyway. For low rating play, go with deflect spin. 4. Facing KFM, press Q and hold you can dodge KFM’s flying slam. If your ping is really high, this trick may not trigger. 5. KFM’s long range kick can only be used after he SS. 6. Every time KFM resists something from you, he gets 1 stack of Agility, 5 stacks KFM gets awakening, 100% dodge rate for a couple seconds, try spin to run but not spin into KFM’s resists. 7. If you get grabbed by KFM, try to time and use counter right after the first 3 punches This post has been edited by Cottontan: Feb 04, 2016 - 6:24 PM 0 Back to top #4 Cottontan Dojo Member Group:Member Posts:113 Joined:May 30, 2015 Race:Lyn Class:Blade Master Posted Feb 04, 2016 - 6:20 PM Destroyers 1. You want maelstrom on your spin, try use maelstrom to dodge some gap closer. 2. Change your Z-(Soaring Flacon) to the knockdown one, this prevent Destroyer from using any charge skill. Also use this while Destroyers spinning with Q-(Typhoon) makes Destroyer not able to make any surprise attack while spinning. 3. Facing Destroyer press Q and hold, you can dodge any gap closer that Destroyer has. If your ping is really high(60+) or if your opponent’s ping is much much better then yours, this trick may not work. 4. Try use maelstrom or Z to resist Destroyer’s pull. It’s 30 sec CD. 5. You can use 4-(Phantom Grip) or V to break Destroyer’s shield. 6. Fury and Persistence Destroyer can only choose 1, Fury is 45 sec CD, and Persistence is 1 min. 7. Destroyer can not use Persistence while been knocked down or grapple, damage them as much as possible when they are knocked down. 8. Fury has half sec of immunity, and it cannot be CCed the whole time, but you can grapple him. You want Maelstrom; Sin won’t come closer and hit you unless you are getting CCed. They always start by their Tab-(swap), maelstrom prevent this. 2. You don’t need Z-(flock of blades), put the pts in 3-(Anklebiter). 3. Change your 1-(Soaring Flacon) to the knockdown one, it prevents Sin from using Shadow Dash 4. Use whatever you have, dodge Sin’s swap at all costs. It’s 18 sec CD. 5. X-(five point strikes) can break Sin’s Decoy(counter) 6. V-(dual strike) can pull the Sin out of stealth within the range. 7. When you get the chance to grab Sin, apply F lightning immediately, this prevents Sin from stealth hit and run. 8. Sin cannot use flower while he is been grappled. 9. Try use air combo, grapple and knock down to keep Sin on the ground when Sin has flower up, try not to waste too much stun and daze on the flower. 10 When you got marked, press F and hold. 11. Try not to spin too much, if you spin into Sin’s Q, he will enter stealth. When you up against a FM it’s very likely to get snared by ice. 3. Change your V to the resists one, FM’s ice tornado will disable your spin, this V keeps you alive. 4. When you grapple the FM, and you got snared by ice, throw the FM away ASAP, or you will get stunned. Ping is the number 1 factor. I will put up the word here, if you live in TX with around 20 ping, gratz, You just got boosted 200 pts more on the rank. 2. When you go up against a TX BD player, your 4-(phantom Grip) is totally useless. If you are getting grabbed, and your ping is much better then your opponent’s, you can Z-(flock of blades) immediately, your opponent will get knocked back before he can drain you. If your ping is more than 50, your opponent can potentially drain your focus before your counter skill is even popped out, can’t help on this. 3. BD’s ground counter is bugged, often times you can not see if your opponent is using a ground counter, because there is no animation at all. But this problem seems to be far less critical for low ping player, not so sure about this but that’s what I have been experiencing, diamonds that with a ok ping hit my counter much more then the couple people that lives in TX, also for myself, this problem seems to get somewhere better when I switched from Att to Comcast. 4. When you grapple your opponent and then use X to throw him against the wall, he will have a brief moment that he cannot use any skill nor move. This also helps high ping player to deal with low ping BD’s Z-(Flock of Blades) 5. When a BD throws a 1-(Soaring Falcon) he cannot use any other skill or spin until the sword flies back. 6. If your ping sucks, try to dodge more then engage, if you and your opponent using the same skill at the same time, and your opponent’s ping is better then yours, you will get CCed and your skill goes to CD. Usually you won’t be able to kill the Summoner, usually the best you can do is to run the timer out. 2. You want maelstrom. The spin will give you 400% defense; it will greatly reduce the damage you take from Summoner. 3. When you spin, try run in a circle, or Z shape, or S shape, this will affect their sunflower aiming. 4. You want to damage the Summoner and their cat both at the same time, knock down + sunder is a great choice, as well as RMB during air combo, and spin. 5. Go after the Summoner, but be flexible, Summoners healing also decrease the cat’s life. 6. 3pts in Z-(guardian tempest) you really want the heal. 7. 1pt in the 3-(Drain) basically you want anything that can heal you. 8. 0 pt in 1-(soaring flacon) not enough skill pts for this. Manage your focus carefully. 9. Must change your Tab escape to the left side of the tree, so you can use it while being grappled by the cat. 10. Must have Z-(flock of blades) 11. Summoner’s back flip is 12sec CD. Trinket is 36 sec CD, looks just like back flip but instead the Summoner get’s stealth. 12. Summoner’s trinket only has 0.5 sec of resistant. 13. Sleep the cat is not a good option. Only try to sleep the cat if you accidentally grabbed the cat. 14. This class needs a serious healing or damage nerf. 15. If there is any part you do not understand, I have couple matches sparing a Diamond Summoner on YouTube: Désolé pour le copié / collé mais pas possible d'affiché le lien en fait.
