Smokebomb + Shadow Dash not working

When practicing in the Secret Training Room I was unable to Shadow Dash back to the training dummy after placing smokebomb on top of it when the dummy was webbed down.

 

I get the error "Cannot be used under current conditions." 

Is it counting my smokebomb against me as if the dummy was a friendly?

But whenever I get to the smokebomb>web>land mine I back away and use my swarm and 1 but I get that error saying I cant..

I've got the exact problem. Could someone clarify this out please? Normally it doesnt work, but it does work when you go behind enemy's back asap and instantly use moths and spam 1. The biggest question is why  shadow dash doesn't work under normal circumstances (the enemy is still webbed down and his back is in front of my face)?

Yeah, shadow dash doesn't work against the dummies if you have smoke down. No idea why.
