why is it sometimes when i switch with a mob or person, i can't charge after them ? im not rooted, charge is not on  cd  and the opponent hasn't used a defensive.. so why can't i charge?

Does it happen when mobs are walking, or stationary? Do you use your Turning Leaf/Shadow Dash at max range?

 

Could be minimum/maximum range problem - if you use swap on a mob at max range, moving away from you, and during the animation he walks the extra step to be considered out of range for Shadow Dash, same if used on mob walking towards you.
