DirectX version issue

I'm not very techy, so I really have no idea what I'm talking about. 

My computer runs DirectX 11. I'm just now installing the game, but it's forcing me to download DirectX 9.0c "2010 Jun". 

I really don't know if I should proceed, since I- as said- don't know what it's going to do to my computer. Is it going to clash? And is there a way to downgrade my existing version to avoid this?


EDIT:: I forgot to mention that I tried to download the game in the past, and sometime afterwards my integrated keyboard stopped working. I uninstalled everything the game gave me, and it began working again. Don't know if this is relevant, but it's the reason for my iffiness on continuing installation.

Newer versions of DirectX are backwards compatible with older versions. You'll be fine. It won't really install anything, it would only install if you were running an older version than the game needs.
