no checkmarks on quest log

so i've been trying to hide some quests from my quest tracker, only to find out that for some reason my client won't let me. i compared quest logs with my friend, and they have checkmarks next to their quests, whereas i dont. i tried updating, file repairing, messing with the quest log settings, nothing seemed to help. we contacted bns ops on twitter and even they said they dont have checkmarks on their own quest log so they have no idea how to help me. anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

 

this is my quest log btw:

(the problem was already there when i had a huge amount of quests in my log from when i was leveling, so it doesnt have anything to do with the amount of quests)

Options > Game > Interface > Uncheck Sort Quest Log by Distance
