Disconnecting when queue is high

I'm on the Poharan server and I never had any lag or a DC until the official launch. Currently, I'm experiencing frequent lag where everything stops moving and I get DC'd about once every five minutes, but this only happens late at night when the queue is high. Is this normal? I'm just wondering if this is a common problem or if it's a problem on my end.
