game crashes on splash screen

when i click launch game it give me error 4049, so to get it to even get to the splash screen i have to verify my files every tiome il aunch the game then when i get the the splash screen it sits there for 10 seconds then crashes without error the the error report box pops up. This is extremly frustating because all my other friends have been playing the game for the past few days without errors and i was the one that showed it too them. my specifications are a gtx 980 ti, i7-4770k, and 16gb ram so my computer is not too slow for the game.
