Ping Reduction Programs

I have been playing for the past few days now and I have found myself facing issues with the connectivity between my main internet connection and the game. I also have a second connection from upstairs that is reachable only via WiFi that seems to be working better but its not stable due to the fact that  the router is on another floor.  Since then I did quite some research and came up with nothing in particular.

that is similar to mine.

 

Anyway I decided to try out wtfast + killping (Both seem to work the same way) that maybe would fix it. While using them it seemed like the game was performing better but after reading posts like this one:

I decided to stop experimenting because I would not want my account banned.

 

I live in Greece that means that I have some need for a ping reduction program or at least I will have at some point.

 

Can anyone CONFIRM or DENY once and for good if using a VPN in this manner is bannable or not?

 

I want to buy a subscription on one of those two services but I would not want to risk my account.

 

EDIT - Also anyone know how to change my forum name? Why are there numbers there 0_0

 

EDIT 2 - My average latency is 160ms, I don't think that's so bad but I definitely get destroyed by German or UK players that have  ~20-50ms.

 

Also my main concern is HUGE lagspikes that I get for some reason when I'm using my main VDSL connection using ethernet, something that I DON'T get using my 3/5 bars  WiFi lower-end ADSL connection from upstairs.
