Regarding gifting premium

My friend who was not a premium member that is experiencing long que time sincei  am a premium can i gift him premium while he didnt get into the game yet to help him avoid the que?

Go to hongmoon shop and select the one you want to gift. Click details and it will give you the option to gift it to someone on your friends list. Im not sure whether they have to be on or not.

They shouldn't have to be online for it to activate. Premium membership activates automatically after gifting.

 In Tera and Requiem people could send/trade you an item mall things as gifts for in game money and It was ok, it's wasn't bannable, is it the same way here?

I can confirm that it works this way.

Source: I did this a few days ago.

My friend was sitting in queue so I gifted him premium. After it took a minute to process he said "Oh, I'm in premium queue now".. it should be noted that his queue bugged and he had to cancel and try again, but other than that there's no problems.
