Trouble downloading launcher

I am having trouble trying to simply download the launcher. I just want to try the game out. No idea if the laptop can handle, but I'm just going to try. Anyway the download keeps stopping at 41.9MB out of the 215 or having a "network error". Anyone know why that is and how can I fix it? Thanks!

Well got the launcher downloaded finally. Just used a link that was posted in another topic. Now I can even get past the updating of the game. It won't download the first patch, the 8.5GB one. Won't download at all. :/

 

edit: okay. well got it to download. but i will have to download it tonight, during daytime, my family will just complain the internet being slow and ffxiv just lags with it running anyway.

Hiya all i got same problem and really easy to solve this problem :3 Just restart your launcher and sure do not forget run AS ADMIN :3

Restart your PC and after try again update (do not forget run as admin again)

 

if still  have trouble?

 

Set off your Virus defender xP and try it again :3
