Having problems downloading the game

I'm trying to download the game, and after it installs a shortcut pops up onto my desktop. If I click on it then it takes me straight to the files in my windows browser where the gamew is downloaded but nothing actually starts up. I have been told that I just downloaded the game but not the launcher and I don't know which launcher to download. Any help? Thanks.
