Has anyone been able to turn on controller mode?

Me but this blade and soul kick people in game, i have a xbox controller works fine

I am not able to "tick" controller mode. Must it be done in game? Because I have been trying to enable it in character creation by going to settings.

i was using logitech controller and i couldnt change to controller mode in chara select or game screen ima use my xbox controller and see what happens

It has to be done in-game. I hope this helps people having a similar issue.

Is there a way to change how the controller's control sticks behave? I am using the wired Logitech and Direct mode (switch under the controller moved to "D") none of the face buttons match up with their in game icons, down on the control stick moves me forward, up moves me backwards. I tried switching the modes on the controller and it just makes it so the D-Pad moves the character instead of the sticks.

Good to know I kinda figured cause keybinds was grayed out also. Still good to officially know
