  1. While I agree it is annoying and unpleasent to be at the mercy of RNG for True Poh SS drops, just keep in mind this is an improvement on the previous process.

Prior to CSC, the best SS came for BM raid.  Which could only be run once a week.  Under that system you would average 2-3 SS a week... and still were at the mercy of RNG.

That is the absolute worst site to ever look for estimated playercounts.

Their numbers are completely randomly calculated, no logic behind anything whatsoever.

To claim "it is the worst site to look for estimated playercounts," is to suggest there is a better site.  However accurate or deeply flawed their methodology may be, it is a methdo they utilize to analyze all MMOs.

If there is a better site for this kind of info, I would love to know about it.

Currently, I would estimate the same as Uldrum... around 3k unique daily logins, while having around 400-600 players online at the same time (for Jinsoyun/EU) and even less players on the american server (NA/Yura), maybe not even half of EU.

I doubt the active players is that low in NA.  I can't speak for EU.  Player observations of active users are too anectotal to be taken seriously.

An active an individual player will only group with 4-6 players at a time (outside of raids).  During raids you can group with 12 players.  As an active player, you can never observe 100, 500, or 1000 concurrent players.

If 60 players formed 10 teams of 6 and farmed RT,SSM,or/and EL; it is unlikely more than 2 of these teams would cross paths and it is highly probable 2-3 of these teams never sees any of the others.

The folks over at MMO Population have a "method" of calculating player population.  No clue on how accurate their methods are.

    1. How many active players are there currently? (Some people play only one character throughout their account on bns, while other individuals have 10+ characters but really is only one person technically)

Honestly, people place a little too much importance on player population.  In Blade and Soul roughly 80% of the content involves groups of 4 or 6 people.  Having 3,000 or 30,000 players won't change that.

    2. Are there more active players online now for soulboost v2 vs. soulboost v1?

From my perspective I would say more, but that's entirely anecdotal.  Since Soul Boost II, I've encountered more new and returning players than in prior events.

Something is drawing in new players and enticing past players to return.

    3. What reason do you have for wanting to continue playing? (I'm not here to bash anyone, just curious. I myself enjoy getting limited time cosmetics that appeal to me)

Are you having fun?  Only thing that really matters.  Enjoying the game, keep playing.  Dreading the grind, then move on.

    4. Is there a current way to view the game population? I noticed there is sometimes 1-3 max channels for most areas and F8-Lobby doesn't look active lately.

IMHO, this is the only REAL issue when folks ask about player populations.  Players try to base "active players" based on Faction chat or F8 recruitment.   Unfortunately, neither has been true for years.

Active players aren't in Faction chat.  Faction chat is the dribble you watch and/or participate in while waiting for your friends/clan members.  While you are not actvely doing content.   The majority of content requires you to go in F8, where you can no longer see Faction chat.

F8 Lobby locks you out of Faction Chat, DMs from anyone not in F8, most clan functions, crafting, ect.   While in F8 Lobby all you can do is sit there.  Not surpriingly, no one sits in F8 and recruits.  Most recruiting is down outside of F8.

Regardless of how robust or anemic BnS population is, in game chat and recruiting is outdated and inadequate for the active players.

  4. This remains the most baffling thing NCSoft does.

Seems like cosmetic items would be the most profitable and least controversial thing NCSoft could offer players.

The Hongmoon Store lists over 1000 outfits and accessories, yet you only make availble 2-3 at a time.  To make matters worst, the same 3 items get recycled.   In the 3 years I've been actively playing, I've 20...maybe 30 unique outfits cycled throught the Hongmoon Store.

Why aren't HM Store cosmectic items available all of the time?   I can appreciate some items being seasonal, but considring the inventory, why not have 100+ items available at any given moment?

You do not just mail bracelets over like the belt / gloves etc. You have to seal the bracelet first using 2 fragments and then you mail the box.

Unless I am missing something, you no longer have to option to seal a lvl 10 bracelet.  Neither CC nor NS bracelets have the option now.

  6. Gonna go out on a limb here and say the whole Ceru vs Crim probably has more to do with the time of day you play.

I have friend in Ceru who claims it's way more active than Crim.  Oddly, I see lots of folks in Crim claiming it is more active and helpful than Ceru.

I started off Ceru, joined a few clans, all were dead.  Switched Crim as a clan recruitment and found the community livelier there.

  7. I don't see many barriers for new players beyond the lack of information.  If in game descriptions and/or content explained to players what their options were, it would be significantly more appealing to new players.

Ironically, the OP brought this up right as another Call to Arms event is launching.  C2A is specifically designed to help new players get "caught up".  The problem remains many new players would never know this.

A helpful community is always a plus, but it cannot make up for the poor descriptions in game.

  8. I labored under the misconception all the items on the Fortunes Favor boards were an RNG roll.  This suggests one could obtain any item on the board with a fortunate RNG roll.  Based on my experience and a few others, this does not seem to be the case.  The Red Box item appears to only be obtainable after all the RNG items have be obtained.  Essentially, you must clear the board before getting these items?

  9. This items seems to be the source of trouble.  I tested a Special Hongmoon XP Charm and it had a 2 second cool down.  I then clicked on this Deluxe version, for the same amount of XP but has the added benefit of changing all my other XP charms to 24 hour cool downs.

  10. This issue appears unresolved.

    How do we contact support?

I have the same requirement under Enduring Strength and Eternal Soul.  Cannot complete either.  Combat Log registers the Knockdown but it is resisted every time.  I execute the combo when the Purple attack field is visible and both status bubbles under Acrimor's  HP bar are empty.
