If you want to be caried through raids etc. you have to pay of course. Its an option players offer others who dont wanna farm certain stuff. For example i hated doing raids so i just bought everything from the raids with gold i earned in dungeons/pvp. I dont see anything toxic in this its more helping the community to play how they want.

There is always a reason. You need to fulfill the requirements a party leader expects you to have if you dont create your own party. You also cant go into some store to buy a ps5 for 200€ even tho they want 500€ for it. Its the same logic you need to fulfill the requirements.

There is simply a misunderstanding between new players and veterans. If you are new the community is actully very helpful no matter what question you ask in faction chat you get a good answer in seconds also if you encounter high gear players in dungeons via lfp and manage to get a full group they are always happy to help you out. Sadly alot of new players think its their right and its to be expected people carry them through all the content not even trying to gear up the normal way.

I am no longer playing this game actively i log in from time to time but i quit PVE not to long ago so it shouldnt have changed.

You described it very well imo, there really is a misconception that the community really is this aweful thing. 
There are bad apples but in general the community isn't so bad, used to meet more toxic players a few years ago than I do now tbh.

Have you tried setting the resolution through NVIDIA Control Panel for the game? I think it may be lower resolution than you need it to be

@Zurama have you tried setting your Discord and Blade & Soul client as admin?
That used to be the workaround for me to make it work.
