You described it very well imo, there really is a misconception that the community really is this aweful thing. There are bad apples but in general the community isn't so bad, used to meet more toxic players a few years ago than I do now tbh.

Have you tried setting the resolution through NVIDIA Control Panel for the game? I think it may be lower resolution than you need it to be

@Zurama have you tried setting your Discord and Blade & Soul client as admin? That used to be the workaround for me to make it work. Hope it helps!
