Turning On Two Step stuck at Verify

Since support goes NOWHERE so I might as well ask on the forum.  I tried to turn on two step verification.  Downloaded the app, scan the bar code then it ask me to key in the 6 digit that the google authenicator gives.  I key in but always fails and said invalid.  Support suggest different browser or clear cache.. did all those still same.  I even use the same computer and browser as my husband to enable the two step verification and his account works but not mine. Anyone encounter weird stuff like this?
