Disconnected from server(1000)(132, 10054)

I have downloaded and installed the entire game, created a character, and selected the Mushin server. I live in the United States, so it is not region lock. Anyways, after the loading screen goes by, and the female character is telling me to get up, I will get the disconnect error. I cannot even get past the very first dialogue without this happening. I have a gtx 980ti, an fx8350, 8gb of ram, etc. In other words, my specs are well over the needed to play this game.
