Hongmoons store/site shop

Never paid for premium before so i have this question:

New premium deal comes with the Hongmoon feather which looks nice but paying for just that is not worth it to me. Let's say i want the mail system to work for me and buy premium from HM Store, but then i don't get the feather with it. So the point is, will the mail work if i buy premium from the BnS Site or not?

Cuz that would be really dumb if i had to pay for it on the site then charge my account again to buy something just to make the mail work...
