Assassin vs destroyer

Alright, topic seen a lot, I understand destroyer are good againts assassins and stuff but here's the thing.

I was doing 3v3 tag battle with a friend, I am fresh lvl 45 assassin and I can take care of myself during duels and such. The thing is, I am winning against the first force master, then the opponent destroyer makes an assist, completely destroy my entire health bar, killing me in a mere 4 seconds. How did he did it? It this the attack power of a full upgraded axe or what? I didn't have any time to think, 4 seconds stunned and dead. I was almost full health. Any tips or ideas? I usually have a little trouble against destroyers and I understand so I keep far away and stuff like that. But I got no chances there !
