MiaStoneheart
Hello Crickets: I actually came back to Windows from Linux just because I missed Blade & Soul (Yeah, not my best decision but whatev's.). My old email address no longer exists so I had to create a new account. I was able to do so, installed the game and signed in. But after creating a character and starting the game, I'm immediately disconnected with a 300 Error (account authorization failure). So far I've tried all the following to try to troubleshoot this: Restarting the game Restarting NCLauncher Restarting Windows Switching to hardwire versus wifi. Reinstalling B&S, on both the same and on different drives. Reinstalling NCLauncher and B&S, on both the same and on different drives. Adding NCLauncher and B&S to firewall permissions. Disabling MS SmartScreen before reinstalling. Creating a character on a different server. Creating another account from a different email address (couldn't even create the account, but that's a whole different issue). The only ideas I have left are these: I previously used the B&S Revolution Android game using this same account and username. I just moved from the US to Mexico (although .MX is not a banned country as far as I know). I'm out of ideas. I'll try NC's Twitter account in the morning but I'm very familiar with the quality and timeliness of their tech support. I'm no l33t player; I just loved the story. But is this worth it? Thanks for listening
Li Qingzhao
Do a traceroute. I have no Idea about the carriers in US/South America, but if you are living in southern Mexico, you may be carried over Cuba(?). And then you are surely blocked. Usually the server farms are in Chicago or Los Angeles(?) for the US BNS Server. I have no idea, I'm from Europe. If the traceroute turns out to be this bad, buy a VPN over Mexico city - Dallas (?) Just as a side note: when I was playing on a US server, the regular trace route is over the atlantic. In some cases I was routed via India and so on ... depends on the carrier.

MiaStoneheart
Ok. So far the only NC server I've been able to reach at all gave me these results: Tracing route to 64.25.35-100.ncsoft.com [64.25.35.100] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms speedport.ip [192.168.1.254] 2 14 ms 20 ms 10 ms 10.5.34.1 3 20 ms 21 ms 14 ms 10.89.21.1 4 12 ms 13 ms 14 ms 172.16.100.1 5 18 ms 23 ms 24 ms ipdsl-qoo-kukulcan-27-l0.uninet.net.mx [201.154.30.147] 6 36 ms 35 ms 39 ms bb-miami-americas-25-be10.uninet.net.mx [201.154.156.58] 7 * * * Request timed out. 8 67 ms 66 ms 71 ms atl-b24-link.ip.twelve99.net [62.115.113.48] 9 65 ms 70 ms 67 ms atl-bb1-link.ip.twelve99.net [62.115.134.246] 10 75 ms * * nash-bb1-link.ip.twelve99.net [62.115.137.55] 11 * * * Request timed out. 12 77 ms 72 ms 78 ms dls-b24-link.ip.twelve99.net [62.115.136.83] 13 * * * Request timed out. 14 84 ms 71 ms 67 ms 64.25.35-100.ncsoft.com [64.25.35.100] Trace complete. Interesting. But how would I go about specifying this specific connection in the client?
MiaStoneheart
I just noticed something new. Upon reaching the PIN screen, there is a message "Incorrect account name. Please confirm and try again." This makes no sense, but I will try to look it up and report back. EDIT: Absolutely nothing found. EDIT AGAIN: I thought I was on to something here, as my NC account had one spelling on the website and a different one on the client. But after fixing that, no change in result. MiaStoneheart
Solved. I found a free VPN that routed through the US. Worked the first time, and my speed hasn't even suffered that much. Thank You to @Li Qingzhao and anyone else. Moderators: if possible, please add "SOLVED" to the topic header. Thanks.
Silindria
The problem may be solved with VPN, but the risk of being banned is greater, just by the way. So you shouldn't wonder why your account might have been banned. The problem is then VPN. You should contact support with your problem if necessary and hope that they can help you if you plan to play BnS longer. You may of course be lucky and the account will not be banned, but if it is banned then VPN was to blame.
Li Qingzhao
I don't see any official post from BnS on banning VPN users per se. Apparently there are posts about people who claim to be banned using VPN, but it could be anything else. For example, playing from a sanctioned country AND using VPN. Or speed hacking, duping, botting .. whatever. A VPN is not a illegal tool by itself, just a service to support correct routing to the server. It's like taking a (paid) taxi instead of the public bus.
