Hello! I have exactly the same problem and apparently there is no solution. I have contacted the support team since 2019 and they have not been able to solve the problem. I have not been able to play the game for several years because of this error and no one says a solution.. I'm trying to play again now for nostalgia and I couldn't because of this hateful error!!

might try using a VPN or stop using one - normally should fix

 

another alternative might be to reinstall the game under a different path
