"alter appearance" tab missing

I just noticed that I can't use weapon skins because my weapons don't have the "alter appearance" tab anymore.

Did they remove that feature?

You no longer use that to change weapon appearances and pet appearances. They all work the same as regular costumes now. You go to the costume tab in inventory and jsut equip the weapon skin.
