Was it such a problem when this problem appeared, to simply do a reverse patch that would bring the game back to pre-update state? One dungeon was added, so Holt would be added later, but the games would be playable. The game has been unplayable for a week

Roll back the patch because of 5 people? You know the vast majority use WASD and play perfectly fine still right?

Anyway look how long it takes them to re add controller support back, I wouldn't get my hopes up of them fixing this one fast either.

I am not aware of any feature to do that. But I would encourage you to contact the Customer Support Team to double check (see link at the top of the website).

I contacted Customer Support as advised. The reaction to a detailed report of the problem and the question if premium membership can be suspended was completely generic and so far off that I don't even know how to continue communication. What I wrote has obviously not been understood at all and I actually doubt it has even been read by an actual person. If it has been, there was a severe lack of reading comprehension involved.

I  would assume that the 5 people writing in this thread is the minority of affected players who will actually write something about it. Of course it's still a minority of players who are affected.

As I had tried to point out, however, that minority had some work to do to get the game going for them in the first place. That's why frustration kicks in a bit earlier, if what you have had to come up with yourself suddenly breaks down. I just wish that could be a reason to not just follow the basic economical calculations you're alluding to, though that's probably naive...

I got a reply from GM about freezing my account:
Hello,
Unfortunately, we will be unable to grant your request to freeze your account or the premium because we do not offer this kind of service.
Thank you for understanding.

What annoys me the most is that when I asked support if I could use a third-party program (Macro) to bypass the keys. I clearly wrote to them that I will use a macro so that when I press the left arrow, it bridges to "A" and when I press the right arrow, it bridges to "D".

So I got the answer:
"As for your inquiry, I can confirm that Macro program is a useful service but it is absolutely not supported in any way by NCSOFT, so the assurance you seek, I cannot give. While NCSOFT does not expressly prohibit the use of these services, we advise our customers to use them at their own risk."

Maybe, just maybe, they're trying to tell you that you could use it and won't be prosecuted for it under the current special circumstances without explicitly telling you that. Just my wild guess and by no means sth to rely on either *wink* *wink* *wink*

I've found something that works for me and it doesn't involve Macros. You can remap keyboard keys to different keys by redefining key assignments in your  Windows registry. I mapped left and right arrow keys to F1 and F2 respectively, since I don't use F1 and F2 in Blade & Soul. So I assigned F1 to strafe left and F2 to strafe right in Blade & Soul key assignments. That works. (I also remapped F3 to arrow left and F4 to arrow right function in Windows registry so I can still move my cursor when I use something other than Blade & Soul).

If you don't want (or don't know how) to mess with your registry yourself you can use KeyTweak: https://keytweak.de.softonic.com/

Note that this is not a Macro Third party thing but a simple Windows registry editor. It does not and cannot perform complex actions on one keystroke - it can simply remap your keystroke to activate another key which circumvenes the current bug in Blade & Soul. You need to restart your PC for remapping to take effect and you can of course remove mapping when you don't play Blade & Soul, restart PC and do something else. It's some extra work everytime you want to play, but it works.

Doing that by editing your registry by hand is a lot of more work, of course, so I do hope this bug gets fixed asap.

I've been arguing with support for more than a week about freezing the acc until they solve this problem, because it will be a long time, when they don't even mention it in the maintenance sheet as a known problem, or refund the payment for the unused part of the premium membership. As a veteran player since the beginning, I mostly bought for a year and it wasn't until this year that the 8/10 patch made it impossible for me to play.
I would like to know how I can contact a superior, because I only get copypaster answers from support. It's been 12 days since I failed and 219 will most likely fail.
If I use third party programs I risk permaban.
Not to mention that the only program I've tried is keytweak, and it requires a PC restart when changing, and the arrows are needed for, for example, writing a message.
The only option is to create a macro that will run only with the game, but a friend got a permaban for a similar program.

The Blade & Soul forums are not an alternative for Customer Support processes (that include Standard Responses to a lot of the questions that all players ask). I'm not part of the Customer Support Team but if you give me your ticket number, I can try to see if someone can look else can look into it (no guarantee).

Please do not discuss on the forums your Customer Support tickets or using third-party programs, or we will moderate your post.

Why dont they reverse the update and sort it out in there own time, this is taking way to long. Im also looking for a refund and some compensation over this as its not the players fault that someone added a piece of coding or has made a mistake and it is as easy as it sounds too, i know.
