Off topic, but here I will teach you how, there are quite a few ways of doing it, so here's example 1:

I suggest you to contact Support. They'll help you troubleshoot the issue (Press here)

 

All 40XX Errors are relating to the GameGuard. So I suggest you to try and delete the GameGuard folder and let the NC Launcher to Re-Download it's content and see if this solves your problem.

I also suggest you to perform "Scan File"  within NC Launcher, File Scan will Restore any Corrupted/Modified File back to working condition and in many cases a simple step like this can fix most of the issues.

Ok, this is what I found... 2 things.  verifying image -- no help

what appears to be cause of this problem -- dell's automatically added display manager/helper. -- it can reset colors/app, it can readjust layout/app change size / app and screen layout .. in short everything you probably don't want.  It sends information to the monitor/game via some new monitor tech, which I have a feeling is why game-boss thought data was mismatching or a cheat was ongoing.   The manager installs automatically on some newer dell monitors.

I killed it before running game -- no 4040 or 4044.

 

Second prob --  and this is more problematic for play -- XMBC (X Mouse ButtonControl) .  I only use it to switch button 4 to 1 and 1 to a doulble left click.

Been using this since the start on all progs, to minimize my Carpal tunnel.  With this latest relase, I can't enter the number code with my mouse anymore.

It just ignores the mouse -- so I can't enter the code.  If xmbc is loaded 1st, I can toggle it on/off but as soon as I toggle it back on after entering mouse code,

I get a 4040, leaving it off or loadign game 1st makes game prettty much unplayable because the position of the keys on my mouse end up being weird

(kensington trackball 4-button mouse) -- I actually use 2 of them which the computer interprets as 1 mouse, so I can switch hands back and forth depending

on whether I need to type with my left hand.  Has been useful for 20 years to lower repetitive stress.  Anyway -- it is no longer working, so if it is loaded, I can't enter the mouse pin code, so no game.  The dell thing - never needed or wanted, so can just not load it, but the x-mouse-button-controller-- don't know If I can play w/o it.

 

Can that be fixed  back to the way it was before.?

All 3rd Party Macros that requires a process handle to post/send messages is no longer working with GameGuard due to GameGuard hiding the process handle. So that is why the X-Mouse Button Control is no longer working. However if you own a mouse that has it's own software such as Razer or Logitech you are still able to use the mouse provided macros as they work differently to the 3rd party ones, however just because it works doesn't necessary mean it's allowed, so if you decide to buy a mouse with such feature, use it at your own risk.

 

 

ErrID_4044 - Doesn't necessary mean you are cheating, you may also receive such error if GameGuard is conflicting with a software that is running in the background such as Razer Synapse used to cause long time ago before the removal of GameGuard. So if you think that Dell's Software is causing you GameGuard Errors you might want to consider in disabling such software to prevent from disrupting your play time, if you think Dell's software is not needed for you, you can permanently disable it by typing "Services" in your Start menu and pressing enter, in the services locate the program you want to disable, right click and press "Properties" if the program is running, press "Stop" and in Startup Type: select Disabled or Manual if you think you will be using it, time to time, then select Apply. The program will stop working and so it shouldn't conflict with GameGuard anymore.

The Dell display toy is uninstalled.  Playing with out XBMC -- having to reach up to click rather than click the button under my finger ...prolly maybe a problem.

But even with all those things removed from memory ... I still get 4044.  The 4040 seems to have disappeared, now the game is just confused.

 

The bit with character changing kicking you to desktop , I'm pretty sure is related to GameGuard (GG), it has something like 4-5 images of BNSR4 running at anyone time.  If you go to change characters, at least one of those GG images is out of sync with you wanting to change -- so it slapps you with an exit.

 

Near as I can tell they are like running 3-4 copies of some kernel, and if any of them differ from the others -- the bad one shoots the rest.  

 

This all boils down to the complainers about cheating.  They need a separate game -- those that want to complain get game guard, those who just want to play-- can have game guard disabled.

 

I'm really tired of the complainers ruining it for everyone else, since due to their GG, I can't play any more. 

 

Why don't the complainers get permabanned?   They are calling other people names, they are making accusations and complains about staff here in the forums -- if they want to com plain submit a support, but they shouldn't be posting it here subject to points+bans -- because I don't want to read about how you have ruined it for everyone else.

 

Please announce in the game announcements sent out in email about GG being cancelled, so we can play again.  Because until then many of us can't

Hmm, I can't help with Disconnection sorry, as I can't reproduce the problem on my end to find a possible solution, the one and only time I get disconnection is when changing character while in Koldrak's Instance, so it's not ideal and time consuming to find a solution that I can test few times every 3 hours, it would be much easier if I could reproduce this in local server, but I don't seem to receive disconnections outside of Koldrak and so you're best bet would be probably contacting Support if you haven't done so already (https://support.bladeandsoul.com/hc/en-us)
