Windows 11

I'm currently using the unofficial leaked build 21996.1 of Windows 11 to run BnS. So far I'm liking it as it is less bloated and working perfectly fine without compatibility issues. It might be just my imagination but I "felt" an increase in performance and the FPS seemed to improve by a bit.

Hopefully the performance gets even better when Windows 11 hits RTM.

I recommend you wait for the official ISO preview build by Microsoft though which I think should be soon as they will officially announce Windows 11 on livestream @ 24 June 11am Eastern Time.

yep, this is what I meant with asap 😉

Windows 11 is very rougly put" windows 10 + a new visual overhaul and some tweaks. so i do not see any issues with the game.

I might see "some" issues regarding the 32 bit version of bns, but that will vanish anyway once UE4 hits.

In my situation with windows 11 (SO 22000.71): On 64-bit client fps is always 11fps, x86 client quits unexpectedly after 30 seconds of play. I've done everything but no solution.

1. Reinstall your graphic card drivers/reset the default settings (if you are using an Nvidia graphics card there is an option for clean install)

2. Disable Nvidia game overlay, (having this setting enabled will lower your FPS)

3. Press ALT + Enter keys in game in Blade & Soul, sometimes this will fix the locked FPS bug

I'm also using Windows 11 Pro insider Dev build 22000.71, Blade & Soul runs much smoother with less stuttering using Windows 11 Pro vs my 6 month old install of Windows 10 Pro. I only use the 64-bit launcher for Blade & Soul & I game at 4k resolution (all 3 graphic slider setting). In my testing I have NOT run into any bugs/FPS issues using Windows 11 Pro.

In the meantime recommend most users stay on Windows 10 - since right now Windows 11 Pro is a developer test version & some users might experience issues, Windows 11 Pro requires modern PC hardware & a TPM 2.0 bios setting to be enabled. For your average user,- Windows 11 Pro requires a few more hoops too jump through before you can install & run it.

Also use the Windows 11 compatibility tool to check your hardware.  Microsoft is phasing out support for some AMD / Intel CPUs with Windows  11.  See the Microsoft Windows Processors Requirements page.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/windows-processor-requirements

Currently running Win 10 Pro for workstations Version 21H1 so the UE4 patch should help out a bit.

The stuck 11fps is most likely windows FTH being triggered

But bns does seem less laggy on Windows 11 thats  true.

Would recommend people to use it if they can, you don't even need TPM and secure boot if you can follow a guide to bypass those requirements.

And it's probably just as likely for windows 10 to get bugged after an update than windows 11...

The amount of times a windows 10 updates caused an issue with 1 or more of my pc's 😕

There's a better way "whynotwin11"
The compatibility tool doesn't even tell you what's wrong, might just have to change something in your bios.. or might not be able to run it at all.

well for me the client  runs a bit smoother with Win11, not much, but I am way more reliable in solo boss 1 in DST, were I had funny out of order lag-jumps before. I just updated when it was out on dev channel and BnS worked right after (64Bit). Ofc after 4-5 days  my favorite FTH had to hit in again, as it's settings been reset by that update.
