Since doing the whales spend more gold to make it more value again is 100iq, let's literally give no gold to everyone in this game, even if they are doing the end game content.

The problem is whales are sitting on 100,000 to 500,000 and some are at a million plus gold.

The regular player is doing upgrades constantly and only has maybe 1000-5000 gold on them right now.

The value of whales gold is just going to go up and its going to hurt the health of the game.

People who run this game don't play it, so they cant make decisions.

well, you know this is coming.  Just like zimbabuwee and venezuela, NC cannot afford to devalue its currency to oblivian, otherwise no one will trove or spend money, so gold supply has to be cut, just a matter of when.  If you still do not get the economics, read my post on 06/14.

 

Jonjon is wrong:  whales have no gold, whales buy gold.   Farmers have gold.  Whales and farmers are two completely different concepts.  Yes, the biggest winner of this gold nerf is farmers.

You can't say whales have no gold if they are buying it. How they get it doesn't even matter. If you're going to slow down the rate of progression on this game to a grinding halt, then people are not gonna play. Particularly if you are a new or mid tier player. That is the whole point of peoples frustration about this.

The solution to this was to have let the Hunter's Refugge capped as arena, where EVERYONE could enter and EVERYONE could win everyone. Not only the whales killing the little and getting even more rich. This is like RL society, rich getting more rich while they ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ the lowies. Due that this gold reduction wont affect at all the whales because they have so much gold they dont care anymore, they have enough for many expansions, so the only ones they are ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ with this gold reduction are the mid-term players, F2P players and the newcomers. So seems NCsoft wants everyone to quit the game.

This is why later upgrades shouldn't cost higher mats in mats, but higher amounts of gold. For instance, the new psyches could cost 2500g to infuse. Every IA weapon stage cost should also be 9500g, at stage 3+. Most players aren't even Thornbreaker, so it only affects whales. Also, make the transmutation gold cost for the upcoming gilded hexa gems, 15000g. When it comes to min-maxing, whales will always eventually pay out because there isn't anything left to touch and they're all sitting on a pile of useless currency otherwise. Finally, put some fancy wings in an NPC shop for 250000g and a title called whale for 1,000,000g because people love to show off what others can't obtain. Easy gold sinks. Focus on the whales not the average player and you'll continue to see customers play the game and not run off to PSO2

The better solution would be to make Trove keys or RNG box purchaseable through In-game gold add shitty RNG too and maybe some good items.  Two birds with one stone.

 

That will suck gold rapidly. Whales will then spend the NCCoin to get gold from F9 or from gold farmer... large gold transfers can be detected... Farmers can then be weeded out by NC. The value of gold will raise and after event hopefully the "gold balance" will return.
