r5 3600 4.2gHZ + PWRCLR RX5700XT RD poor perfomance

this game engine sucks, simply, is unplayable with a system like this:

R5 3600 4.2Ghz 1.33v

16Gb Gskill Trident Z 3200Mhz 14-16-16-32

Powercolor RX5700XT Red Devil

500Gb m.2 nvme samsung 970EVO (installed the game here)

Corsair RM750X V2

MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon

AIO Enermax Liqfusion

Cooler Master MB530P

HP X25 144hz AMD FreeSync 1ms 1080p

played in the last weeks BDO, CSGO, DMC5, Code Vein, BF1, PUBG, CoD MW 2019, and the games runs smooth as hell, but this game stutters all the whole time making it unplayable dropping the FPS from 120 to 28-29FPS and locking in much situations to those FPS...

actually you have a good setup. unfortunately most of the optimization guides are made for nvidia graphic cards.

3600 does a good job. you can not compare it to the 8700k or 9700k, but it comes pretty close to performance. It is known in the raids that the FPS will drop massively.

if you want to compare:

open world 80-120

dungeon 50-75

raid 25-60

msp 25-30 while fighting big boss, else up to 90

Most of settings ingame are set to 5, except shadows and additional graphics. AA off

Vsync on (75 FPS)

My Setup:

R7 3800X@ 4,2 GHz 1,34V AiO watercooled

16Gb Gskill Trident Z 3200Mhz 16-18-18-38

ASUS ROG Strix 1080

500GB M.2 nvme KINGSTON SA1000M8480G

ASUS ROG STRIX x570 F-Gaming

75Hz Screen

Have you already tried some tweaks for BnS from Youtube guides what has nothing to do with the graphics card?

Maybe there are some tweaks for RX5700XT on youtube or reddit..?

Sry for my bad english, i try my best..

I have same setup except for a bit faster ram and rx 470 gpu and I have better fps than yours, you did nothing wrong but there is a shitton of optimization you still need to do to get the last bit of performance out of your machine. Check YouTube and bns subreddit for advanced game optimization

I don't know if it's all users, my system is due a reinstall but for now it all works.... kind of :D

Check the thread linked by Hyunkel, i had terrible performance when i changed to the 5700XT, but with the DX9 to DX12 wrapper, it works so much better, get a few graphical glitches, but nothing game breaking. Without that wrapper my fps goes into single digits when moving the camera.

Another thing which seems to help without it is to turn shadow detail right down, bring both sliders to the minimum and that'll help performance, although the game environment will suffer from it.
