My opinion of the top 5 costume finalist

So we have the option of voting for 1): the Boss Mode/Shadowrunner crossover with more feminine tight pants (leggings?) on male. 2): Demoniac with less elegance and Sandstorm-like tattoos. 3): Generic short puffy dress with leggings only on one leg which the asian regions love. Feminine male costume. 4:) Looks like 3 but more sexy with Dragonfly-vibe. Leggings on one leg only again. Bonus points, another Korean fashion trend: short male pants showing ankles. 5): Undevil male looks like the Storage guy -costumes in game with more dangly bits. Female one looks more original but I don't see how the shoes fit the blade and soul setting, but it's also funny cos they resemble those blade and soul -shoes that you could win from the contest, so I guess that was the point.

 

So as for tips how to get picked as a finalist : Follow asian fashion trends! Main focus should not be on the actual costume design though, but on making high quality art and making the people and background in the pictures look pretty. Focus on breaking apart every single part of the costume (even if it was already shown clearly in the first picture) on several panels below your first costume picture that showed the front and back view. Write as much text as possible, even if it says something that was already obviously seen from the first picture, like :black gloves. 'Cos it makes your submission look more professional.

 

I am sad because I saw a lot more original costumes posted in reddit, and those costumes were not even chosen to be voted on here int eh forums. Even though it was said in the contest submission page that the finalists would be picked based on the costume originality, it seems like the costumes were picked based on who had the prettiest art. I suggest for next year, or even for this year if you can still change it, to include all the top 11 costumes to be voted on to allow the players to vote for more varying and original costumes.

So....as original as the costume may be, if it doesnt fit the game style....

Not to mention for 3 years now its always voted from the top 5 and now suddenly everyone has a problem with it....did everyone run out of things to complain about or why is that?

False, there were more than 5 costumes to vote for in the forums past years. I know you want to defend ncwest/ncsoft in absolutely everything but check your facts properly.

2016 & 2017 was no weapon illusion contest so the costume entries had more vote entries. Since weapon illusion was added it was split 50/50.

??? Yes, I remember those costumes and weapon illusions being in the forums for voting in the year 2018 contest. So that's more than 5, that's 11 weapons and 11 costumes up for voting in the forums. Only this year they decided to only add 5 of the 11 in the forums for voting.

You really shouldn’t bother arguing with a die hard white knight like him. It’s like trying to prove theory of relativity to an ostrich. You know you’re right but it’ll never acknowledge you’re right.

It’s hard not to assume he’s some kind of really complex defensive bot programmed by the staff that makes Siri look like a joke.
