PetPuggi
5 characters, total of 150+ pouches, here are my results: 0 PTS 0 pet pod 0 vials 1-2 GC steel But did get a bunch of SUPER useful things like gem hammers, blackstones and raven feathers. Yeah I'm sure we need raven feathers in 2019, or gem hammers when they're nearly free to craft. What's the drop rate this time, half of last event, i.e. 0.01%? If you keep this automatic nerfing of event pouches going, soon they'll be 0% (tbh they might as well be 0% right now and it wouldn't make a difference). Last year or the year before that you could easily get a few DGS/vials from event pouches PER character, ON TOP of the stuff you trade with farmed currency. I highly doubt the drop rate right now is even 1/5 of the drop rate of last year's. More and more troves and RNG boxes + continuous nerfs to every useful drop in this game + gear being exponentially more expensive to upgrade with each tier, gee I wonder what that implies.
i wanna die
i actually got 1 vial yesterday from the event pouch, but yea we could have better drop rate for things
KlausFlouride
Let me break it down so you can understand how everyone of these RNG type boxes works: anything nice (eg. PTS, oils, pet pods, etc.) that has a percentage symbol next to it has less than 1% drop rate. There was a post where some of the boxes had the rates, instead of the %, next to them and the rates were roughly <1%. Look on the sub-Reddit for this game; every time one of these RNG/Trove type of events happens someone buys crazy amounts of the boxes and opens them (see above rates). I have opened enough boxes/Trove keys to know that above 100% true. Trove is a bit of a different animal in that it seems the closer to the end of the event the worse the rates get; the rates seem to drop off a cliff after the first week. Did you bother reading past the first sentence? I know what the % means, I've played this game for 2 years, not 2 days, otherwise why would I compare against previous events? Good items are ALWAYS locked behind the "%". But in previous events the "%" did NOT mean <1%, they were more like 5%+ because each one of my alts got AT LEAST one good item (PTS, oil, DGS, wheel spin ticket, etc). In other words the drop rate was fair. The earlier we go the less scammy these events were They're clearly <1% NOW because NCW relentlessly nerfs drop rate EVERY single patch, as stated, a completely ridiculous drop rate. Assuming they halve the drop rate with every event, by the time we're in May 2019 I assume the drop rate to be <0.5% Edited May 14, 2019 by PetPuggi
KlausFlouride
I read it so I had to make sure you understood the rates have been <1% for 18 or so months. A couple of the events gave out to much stuff (eg. ToM2, the first harvest box event, etc.) so they had to make sure that didn't happen again. Snowyamur
Welcome to the world of gambling, where you spend your money non-stop believing you'll get a juicy reward out of it, when in reality, you're broke after 100+ spins. Seriously, this loot box crap needs to stop. It's turning this game from a videogame to a casino.
Soloniel
In your position i should be happy that i get that GC steels.
Astarae
Why is it bad when too much stuff comes out? On this one I'm getting too little useful stuff for too much money. Result => stop-that, it hurts. On last trove -- they put in higher than normal rewards, price same as before. Result => I spend more at that trove than at any previous one by 2-3X. They want to make money -- making the rewards large enough so that you want to get more boxes is the way. But with the price and rewards as low as they are -- what's the point? Worse, I can't use any of the upgrade tokens on either of my two characters I play because they don't work with celestial. That makes them more worthless for me than normal. The only good thing are the moons -- you can use to buy things -- but even there -- its way too much money spent for what I'm getting. I still want to see Bloodlust + it's accessories in the loot box. Let me buy something I want to buy...they other stuff...I'll get one cleopatra, but the BL+accessories, I'd get at least 2 maybe more (and that's assuming they are account bound!) Yeah, I do have 2 sets of jewels on my guns, cuz I don't wanna be spending a bunch of time shuffling things around. It's really a shame there's no solo option in the new dungeons (and I don't mean solo like in the mao dungeon where I can't get past the first boss). I tried to get my clan to just go and to check it out -- not that I expected get through it or not...but just wanted to poke around -- and the bastards kicked me. They were too afraid to even try the new dungeon cuz they didn't have a mech-guide. So pathetic. No wonder of exploring, no option to find out how to solve a puzzle -- just wait for someone else to give you a new video to memorize. Too bad, I suck at rote memorization, and too bad that's the only dynamic offered.

They only other choice there is "sure thing". I find it hard to believe that EVERYTHING is ether a sure thing or <1%. That would be monumentally broken IMO. Nihilu
I always try to look at the event pouches not for their “rare drops” but for their mid tier drops. If the drop rate for Jewels/elements is good enough it will save me a lot of gold by the end of the event amongst all of my characters. It would be nice to have another cannon ball or fishing event where the “second currency” gave you better chances at nice items. But in the same turn I did like some of the last events double currencies like the blossom stages which got me a ton of dgs and oils, and the heart event which i just used the rng drops to upgrade alts soul for basically nothing, or saved a few oils on my main (think I saved like 5 oils total). More importantly, I hope the U.S. starts understanding the dangers of online loot box gambling. People are spending thousands without a second-thought and are losing their homes as a result. This is good to know. Thanks for mentioning this @Merlin DE. Edited May 18, 2019 by Snowyamur
