SkFy
Having spikes from 60->500ms ingame… and cannot figure out why.. My internet seems totally fine... and it happens all day, everyday... It used to be fine before amazon servers.. but ever since we got those it been horrible.. The spikes only didn't use to be this ridiculous... it used to be around 60-150... but it's getting worse and worse.. Now I literally have 500/600ms spikes in game all day.... what the f is this? Constantly my skills don't respond or have delay... Good ms:https://imgur.com/eAa43Op And bad ms: https://imgur.com/t8KVGFWhttps://imgur.com/31feJaE https://imgur.com/zv4uyPi https://imgur.com/4TYxAKZ https://imgur.com/NFgdQsu Ping to a google server while i'm having spikes ingame:https://imgur.com/WNMmvKK Seems perfectly stable.. Also tried both 64/32 bit clients. Tried to reinstall windows. Tried to use windows 8 Tried many different VPNs, noping, battleping, wtfast, mudfish, exitlag.. all don't help. Also tried to disable all non Microsoft services.. Even been looking around at my drivers for mouse/keyboard/graphics to see if any of those would make a diff, but it all doesn't seem to change anything.. Literally cannot figure out what's causing this ;s and it's driving me crazy.. 5min ping plotter to bns server ip I got from support:https://imgur.com/LxhpTS8 Doesn't seem to show any issues either.. Ill offer 1000gold to whoever figures out the cause of this issue. Edited April 6, 2019 by SkFy
CharlieIsBoss
I have an "internet speed" story for you regarding my cable internet. I'm telling you this because it sounds like it is time to sling as much mud as possible at the walls in the hopes something sticks. This may not even help, but may at least add more perspective as to the kinds of things that just make NO sense. If you do not use cable internet then this probably is useless info lol. So here is the story: New internet provider is going fine in the beginning, but then after a few months I started noticing my download speeds were choking out more and more during prime time or at like 7am "check email" time. the quiet middle of the night was still fine. I first started feeling the lags playing in an mmo, This gradually got worse and the first conclusion was "oh, selling more accounts than router channels and we are getting multiplexed" . I started doing upload/download speed and ping tests like you have been doing and they showed that any ping that got through went just fine. Nothing looked wrong. Upload speeds were solid, but the download speeds choked out. this was solid data download vs ping checks and it sucked. I purged everything of mine, swapped cables, etc and it just was not likely that this was on my side of my router. My connection WAS acting like an intermittent failed wire on the download side, but my upload was solid so I have a hard time blaming my cable wiring since it all is on the same wire. so I called support and told my whole story. I told them it felt like out of 1000 packets 1 got through and the rest got choked or lost …. They nailed the problem in like 15minutes. The amplifier on my leg of the network was fading in strength and was losing most of its packets when fully loaded down. Once they turned up the power on the amplifiers, it worked like a champ, and has ever since. ************************************************************** point to the story: huge lags can = huge packet losses yet look like a number of other things. look for performance lag in only 1 direction, as it could be local switching hardware. Nothing lasts forever and mother nature is always looking to foul things up, so who knows...glw your mystery solving.

Also had about 4 mechanics over in this time, part for this issue part for others... and they all say everything here is fine Personally, I think it's more of a driver issue or something.. idk Edited April 6, 2019 by SkFy
