Lambz
Hio, i might start here with 5 more people, we are total newbies , and i was thinking about what composition we should have? is there any composition at all? we wanna do all the content, pve raids bosses pvp maybe a bit, was wondering what and if theres a good combo for classes. are there dedicated healers? tanks? buffers? SayhaSeer
Sin/KFM - For Blue Buff. - KFM can tank and has a party buff. Warlock/Warden - for Soulburn. - Warden is a tank and has a party buff. Gunner is also Nice to have. Every 5 Minutes Gunner can reset buffs. so you can use it 2 times straight, instead of once. Rest is your choice of setup. Out side of the Raid, any Class can tank. If you need a tank in your party, I would go for Either KFM or Warden, just because it's 2in1. and 3 Extra on DPS. if you don't like KFM/Warden, then go for Sin/Warlock and Maybe Blade Master for tanking and 2 extra DPS. Bluebuff and Soulburn is a must to have in a party for all content. DPS classes choose of what you like and go with it.
Ketsura
One tank and one buff, as mentioned before. Overall, theres no need for any specific class in all the dungeons. Some dungeons are nice to have X class, but you can deal with it (for example, in ST it's nice have a FM, but in HH its a lot wharever).
JoannaRamira
No real compositions. considering that we have more classes than what average non-raid PVE content can accommodate. Except raid content where you can bring 12 people it is then possible to think about composition (say 2 buffers, WL or WR, dps/mechanic roles, meele and range tank). Dlacik
@Lambz There are several things that group can benefit from: tank (BM, KFM or WAR), soulburn (WL or WAR) - party wide DPS buff blue buff (KFM or SIN) - party wide DPS buff stealth (SIN or SUM) - party protection freeze (DES or FM) - party protection HM block (BM or BD) - party protection alpha call (GUN) - reset cooldown on party wide DPS buffs and protections projectile protection (SIN, FM, BM or SUM) - party protection heal (SUM or SF) - not typical heal spamming classes, just one party wide HoT with long CD mass ressurection (SUM or SF) - sum can only ress when he dies by sacrificing cat, SF has to stay alive to mass ress other party members. grab (DES, BD or SUM) - allows free DPS time, DES/BD grabs are better in early stages but later the SUM's grab gets better Party protections and dps buffs of same type (except projectile protection) has common cooldown so you won't be able to utilize destroyer's freeze after FM's freeze or wardens soul flare after warlock's soul burn. For dungeons the balanced combination is to have tank, 2 different party buffs, 2 different party protections (not counting projectile protection) and alpha call. Some things can be provided by same person, for example the BM can tank while also providing HM block or WAR/KFM can tank while providing DPS buff. The bosses doesn't have to be tanked by tank class but it's easier for them to do it. Bringing the SIN allows you to skip thrash mobs in some dungeons thanks to their party teleport/party stealth.
