"Missing Shortcut" I can't launch the game

I went and downloaded the installer from the site and had many issues getting it to download, but once it did, I tried to click on the desktop icon. When I clicked on it, it would tell me that I was missing a shortcut, and "Windows is searching for NCLauncher.exe. Does anyone know a way that I can fix this or get around it somehow?

If the launcher did not install properly, you can reinstall it separately from the rest of the game:
