Lets make the Devs notice us!! we deserve better updates!

Recommended Posts

There is a list of recent complaining topics opened within the past day, this is the record of all the time of any update so far I believe where people is working all together to show you, how bad you are doing, so please take a bit of time and read to your community. Since this is something long, Ill divide it in 3 sections

:HajoonSurprised: SECTION 1 .- CURRENT CONTENT AND NEW PLAYERS:HajoonSurprised:

You are pushing away new players, I am a f2p player, who barely has spent 5 USD due to your currency in my country being very expensive with those rates, and I try to help new players, and you are making them quit.

My friend farmed the dragon raid for months to be able to upgrade one gem, not even to octagonal, and you put dragon scales for 1 of those pay2win cashbox tokens in the store, a kick in everyone's faces who farm dragon raid epic challange everyday struggling so you can add this and any rich player can easily get in one minute what others worked for months, even half a year of non stopping this daily challange.

The event overall, my clan doesn't like, the community doesn't like, :JinsoyunPale: BUT YOU KNOW the worst part of this? :JinsoyunPale: You put a steam video where GMs are showing off this event as if it was something fun and nice, they don't show any positive expressions at all, you just dressed this girl as an anime cosplayer and a guy who doesn't even know what Zaiwei is and he even was corrected in the video, and these are our devs? they don't even know what Zaiwei ingame is, really, and they teach us about this event, just to end up telling us oh there's new cash shop boxes, let's open them so you guys can see, let's have thousands of them and open it because I am dev I can open all you want, but you need to buy 5000 ncoin for 50 of them!

Nerfing the ways to get gold, whirlwind chests, pvp arena, and now made it worse. Arena is filled with only old players now it's too late,  as these players know very well how to pvp, and I don't even talk about balance in there since its broken as well for some classes. Any new player probably wont even ever be gold in arena under these conditions as there's only high skilled people who has been around for a while. Newcomers are defeated so easy there.

Battleground it's totally pay2win based, and only top cashers are getting the most credit out from it.

Mushin tower being the best place for any player to have fun, doesn't even longer have good rewards besides yunsang outfit, and daily nerfed quests,

you said :JinsoyunPale: ''we BUFFED yunsang drops'' :JinsoyunPale:i TRIED 5 runs, I got the same drop, 1 bead, 1 dumpling, 1 naryu coin/hp tonic, and 1 peculiar chest, which gives me barely one soulstone/moonstone crystal,....

:HajoonSurprised:2ND SECTION.- WOLRD MAP:HajoonSurprised:

While you have so many potential beautiful places, such as the dreamrift in viridian coast, sundered nexus, sogun's lament, awakened necropolis, the WHOLE moonwater plains map, THE CINDERLANDS desert, and an insane amount of lower leveled instances, that are being forgotten and used to be very fun, forgotten because they got their blue quests removed, their reward its practically , insanely low.

It's hard for people to look for new players sometimes, and while we are doing your job to attract them by having them to have fun with us, you make them quit and just make the ones who already spend so much money spend even more giving rewards that are supposed to be something fair and hard to farm, and now available in less than a minute by paying for this. THIS is powercreep

And know what's worse, you're making people who plays your game pay thousands of dollars, then some end up getting so much gold that they sell it for real life money while you don't see it or probably don't even care for it.

:HajoonConfused:CONCLUSION :HajoonConfused:

Your community is begging, screaming, gently asking, desperate, sad, disappointed, and you are not listening to them. The only times you did was with the raven/seraph material update I believe one month ago, and wasn't a big change but you did read forum, but this is wayyyyyyyy more important than nerfing 100 soulstones required for a path upgrade.

https://forums.bladeandsoul.com/forum/421-general-discussion/

too many threads of hate, and feedback, if you really don't listen to this one I believe even myself will just stop playing.. this is really unfair and f2p community will disappear badly

Nope, they are not our developers. Our real developers are ones in another side of the Earth, namely in a country that is called South Korea. And they work for the NCSoft, parent company of NCWest, the publisher of this game in NA/EU.

Every change in this game has to around the world, back and forth. NCWest can barely provide any change to the game's content. They are only here to collect feedback, send it to NCSoft, and NCSoft sends back the change that they feel "Ah, this may DO NICELY in the West". Too bad, the event does not DO NICELY at all, and there is a tons of other problems where parent company NCSoft simply ignores NA players' feedback, like the complaint about moonstone supply, then increased upgrade costs of BT/TT accessories in the guise of "cost rebalance."

After all, NA/EU is not that BIG of a market to them, unlike KR server where is it their main income of money from this game.

Yeah, I would say most glaring problems are

  • 6v6 crashing: They've been "looking into" it for a year now and it's still a big problem
  • Gold income: We just can't make any gold anymore. This means no incentive to play. Just giving us personal materials is far from enough. We need gold. Without gold, we can't buy costumes or many other things that players like enough to keep them playing. When you make your players too poor to do anything, they quit.
  • Events being a hard hit or miss: Some are good, some are bad. But when they're bad, they're a disaster. As a company, you don't get to have messups like that often. You are dealing with paying customers. When you anger them, they don't have to hear you out. They just quit. It's your job to do your job right. and it's been made pretty clear from at least one staff member at NCWest that a lot of people aren't doing their jobs. You know exactly who you are.
  • CMs who don't play: I love Johnny boy, I love Bethany. I really honestly do. I have such a soft spot for them, but I feel like I can't excuse them anymore. I can understand one sticking to the game they were always playing, but the other doesn't even like to be associated with Blade and Soul outside of work. What does that say?  Neither ever know what they're doing in game-which, we don't expect you to no life it. We just expect that you understand things overall so that when we say somethings wrong, you can identify right away what it is and want to solve it. If they can't stand Blade and Soul, then hearing complaints of things that are wrong just don't matter to them, so they don't put in any effort to fix anything because what do they care-they don't even like the game anyway. You two have a cushy job. I get that you don't want to give that up, but if you don't care about the game anymore, then honestly...what are you still doing there? Again, I really like those two, but I'm just not confident anymore in how much they're helping get our problems across anymore. I know at least Beth still listens, but if we could just get her to work a little harder...I'm rooting for her. (Sorry Johnica Rose Lien, if it's between you two at the end I'm gonna cape for her. LOL)
  • Not enough things to get through gameplay: This is a huge one too. A good example would be the yellow badge tokens that are a huge pain to get and require a million Yunsang beads. They were put into the RNG box instead of given out as a Halloween event prize. If they were given out as a prize, that would have been a huge incentive for players who needed that badge! Instead, they'd rather attempt to sell it. There needs to be more things that we get through playing the game. If you keep not letting us get anything through gameplay, you are going to keep losing players. That's it. It's not hard to understand. So I don't get why they struggle with it so much-like it'll kill them to give ways to make people upgrade faster. You should WANT people to upgrade faster to experience your game.
  • Costumes are too expensive: When I tell my friends Blade and Soul costumes are $25-80 each depending on whether it's in trove, and RNG box, or just thrown into a bundle full of things we don't even want, they laugh and shake their heads and then remind me that you couldnt pay them to play this game. Please stop doing bundles. We don't want all the accessories, we don't always want the costume-I get that you want money, but this is not how to do it. You get more money if you make it more affordable to everyone because then everyone buys it, VS a handful buying it.
  • Holidays being treated like any other day: This year, we didn't even get any Halloween cosmetics at all for free. All of them were sold for $20+. All of them. The Halloween event outfit had absolutely nothing to do with Halloween aside from how ugly it was-the terror of how ugly it was was in the spirit of Halloween but aside from that it had no business being there. Last Christmas, we didnt even get town decor. I think you need to re-organize how you handle holiday events. Every game has them. Yours needs to stand out, not fit in. Don't make it a casual day for us. Make an actual event that attracts old and new players back.
  • Abruptly removing the story: I don't have much words for this. A 3 year old could understand why it was a bad idea. Streamlining only matters when it addresses things that players have complained out. It doesnt mean you should just run around streamlining everything, cutting out half of the entire game. Tera did that and has like no story now and is on life support. I have no idea what possessed anyone to look at that huge mistake like that and think it was a great idea. This needs to be reversed. It's like you don't even understand what your own game is. Removing huge chunks of the story like that? So what do you think it is-you think this game really is just nothing but a gambling casino to all of us?  You're so out of touch, I could just scream.
  • Nerfing content too fast: You release something and then nerf it usually after the first month when we were supposed to have it as a challenge for months to come. and then you hide behind mousey reasons-if you weren't so busy denying all of the the right to upgrade gear in a timely manner, we would all be able to jump into everything just fine. Your starving us is the problem. Don't just nerf things because you don't want to help us gear, what is that?
  • Chatbox is still too small: You've been up and running for almost 3 years now and still refuse to address the chatbar. To me, this has always been a huge pain as well as a hugely unwise decision. If you made it much larger, you'd be opening your doors to RP players. But as it is, you keep the door slammed shut firmly in their faces, screaming at them as they leave "This game is for PVP, PVE, and SWIPING only!!!! STOP enjoying our world and either get to work or leave!!". None of your staff has RP friends? You really need to hire staff who actually know what MMOs are and what kind of people they attract....it's very embarrassing after all this time to still obviously not understand it...
  • Ultimately having nothing to do: Our dailies arent rewarding. We don't make enough gold anymore, so we can't buy very much. Crafting is useless. Upgrading is expensive and still takes way too long. We can't even be too social with that annoying chat limit. Event is a flop. No Halloween freebies to inspire us to grind for. The merchant in HM dungeons gives out old dusty costumes that you keep re-selling in F10 anyway. All there is for us to do is PvP and raid. And your PvP battlegrounds don't even half work. I don't know what you want us to do anymore. You give us nothing to do, but still expect us to log in and spend money on you. ???? Hello?

This is all I can think of for now (I said as I dropped a 300 pound complaint list), but yeah...

@Showta

I do agree with most your points to some extent:

1. 6v6 Crashing - At least recently they mentioned its still on the radar, not exciting news but hey, at least it works. Though of all the time me and my friends play we never experienced any crashes in 6v6, that being said i honestly think this isnt a game issue but more a Pc issue of those affected. But lets hope something gets fixed and improved.

2. Gold income - I think the current gold income and ways to obtain it are fine, plus the personal material gains are also ok. For the costume part, i mean, fashin makes money, in almost every game. It would be a huge income cut if they let those be farmed easier.

3. Events -  Lets just not go into this topic LOL i swear the person thinking these events out needs to be fired or forced to play the game for a few months to understand.

4. CM's Playing - I completely agree with this. Like if i compare the streams from BnS to for example the way streams were done in Tera when tonka was still there, its like ahuuuge grand canyon gap. The bns streams are stale, boring, and done like in way "here see this you will get now shut it" instead of actual engaging, playing, doing random streams that engage with the community. The only time you ever see them engaging is when there is a maintenance post that needs to be made or someone warned on forums.

5. Getting Through Gameplay - I do agree but, if you look at the game it seems they are forcing you to do a mindless grind through the game which is so artificially stretched it gets boring really fast. I do not understand why they dont simply but all the soul badges into basin for example, instead of forcing people to do a stupid TOI which is in all honesty just a waste of time in general.

6. Costume prices - I find these to actually be normal. Selling the adorments apart of the costumes wont really make them more money imo....if they split it and make it cheaper players would be more drawn towards selling gold and using hm coins rather than money...but i welcome the change, also would be great if certain adorments werent tied to costumes and can be worn with any outfit.

7/8. - Holidays and Story - I dont really care honestly, i am not into BnS story, not apealing to me, but i do not see the point of removing parts of it. As for Holidays....i mean they cant even get a good event right, and you expect them to do something for holidays? Its like asking a Porcupine to poop goat cheese.

9.Nerfing content - This i completely agree with. Everything is so brainless and dumbed down to the floor that its so boring to even do dailies. Funny part is, they do it to make it easier for those crybabies that call mechanics too hard, yet even with the nerfs they still complain its hard....they shouldnt nerf content to accomodate for people being lazy and dumb that they cant even stand 10m close to the boss, or stun/kd the boss, even when there is a join CC prompt on the screen and they just need to press SPACE.

10. Chatbox - meh, whatever they do with it is fine.

11. Things to do - i agree that the content in BnS gets repetitive and boring, even PVP. PVP gets expecially stupid when there is a bleful 10 person with accs and gear fresh from finishing the story.... They really should introduce Gear Score, and make it a requirement for dungeons and battlegrounds. Cause the way everything is now is just ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤.

Also @CrazyAmber

It would be really, really stupid to waste phatasm eyes on koldrak scales from the rng box....

BNS NA/EU isn't doing very well, with a decrease in "performance" (yea Idk what that means, it's translated from KR) of 31% and 44% respectively. Mr. Kim stated that this was due to mis-reading western market demands.

Honestly, if NCWest/Soft doesn't understand the issues players have with the game with thread after thread being posted on their forum and on reddit (including this one), it's pure incompetence, especially for hosts of a game that's in the top 10 profits for F2P PC games ($178M in 2017).

1. The servers are ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤, especially EU Jinsoyun. Ping is high, servers tend to have lagspikes after maintenance or completely crash (Jinsoyun).

2. Raid optimization is ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ (you know, the most important endgame content?).

3. Soulburn ending causes huge FPS drops or multi-second screen freezes for a lot of people on top of that

4. Premium Transformation Stones still being RNG (Western Market hates RNG)

5. The ridiculous amounts of oils and materials needed to reach endgame gear without swiping

6. Three out of four new classes (Warlock, Gunner and Warden) being very clear Bait&Switch classes, being OP at launch (AT EVERYTHING) and then slowly or quickly nerfed to be average.

7. Still having to farm the same content as a year ago. Seriously, I still have to do Cold Storage every day because it's the most efficient time/exp ratio in the game (91k in 2 minutes). Seriously?

8. No challenge in regular dungeons leads to people who don't know how to KD in FAS. The difficulty level goes from 0 to 100 when someone first tries VT due to lack of MANDATORY mechanics in 6-mans and the amount of carries in pleb-raids. Older players had the advantage of having to learn the simpler mechanics (i.e. tab escape to daze at EC, simple far marking mechs at Gloomdross/EC, generic CC's) to the more difficult mechs (i.e. driving at NF hard mode, doing proper marking in NS) before they were nerfed, leaving these players with a sense of understanding how mechanics tend to be built up, with a gradual difficulty curve.  New players can just activate simple mode, hold RMB throughout the entire story + any dungeon lower than SHADOWMOOR, never really learn anything about their class, get to BT level where you need to learn the basics at least, fail and quit. The tutorials in F12 are as useless as a school exam, people do them once and forget everything directly after.

9. Partially because of this, people will look for ridiculous requirements when forming a party. They NEED the DPS to skip mech phases in IF for example, because who really knows what to do on either of those 2 bosses anymore when they enter mech phase? Yes you can do IF with a group full of Baleful players, that's the gear most people had when it came out, and it's been nerfed since then. Does anyone want to? Hell no, because if that monkey does 2 phases, you can count on most of the party being dead and the remaining 1-2 people not having enough DPS/survivability to kill it.

10. EU maintenance times (it hasn't been said enough, though it's been better the past few months because the maintenance wasn't extended that much).

11. Events being not worth it most of the time. The event that ended 2 days ago was freaking great. I went from having 3 usable characters, to 5 (I didn't even no-life the event btw) and it allowed new players to skip the whole stuck-in-the-Basin-rut phase and get right into mid-tier dungeons and weekly challenges without having to worry about the 1.1k AP requirement. Honestly, if they introduced the previous event as a permanent one, I wouldn't even be mad. It would allow so many new players to become invested in the game without constantly bumping into AP requirements for some of the most basic dungeons. Unfortunately, that was a rare exception.

12. All kinds of minor inconveniences. Why does it take 3 seconds to open any treasure box? Why are there still no F13 tickets in a vendor? Why does windstriding take 10s (can't that just be lowered to 5s)? Why do most story areas still require you to run to the next area when there was a patch SPECIFICALLY MEANT TO REDUCE RUNNING TIMES? Why the hell is it still possible for ice WL to run out of focus with max focus regen gear during leech? Why does BD drop out of draw stance even more than it used to, a year ago?Why is there no direct dragon pulse from the start of VT/TT to whatever boss you're at? Why do I need 8 free inventory slots to prevent the game telling me my inventory is full? Why can't I access the character creator without having a free slot (I want to play around with it)? Why do I need to repair my weapon constantly (honestly this mechanic serves NO purpose but to annoy people)? Why do I burn through 100/100 weapon durability everytime I do Koldrak on my SF (I have to field repair or else I won't be able to DPS during the most important phase)? Why do some of the outdated account bound items STILL take such a huge amount of gold to send around (Raven Feathers)?

On top of all the things mentioned by other people.

I don't mind much, except this top 3 >

- Evolved Stones : with a low probability but ACCESSIBLE in dungeons. First step would be to make them able to drop from Cold Storage and Heaven's Mandate, then some higher dungeons from Ebondrake Citadel up to latest dungeon.

- Hard mode : it's still meh. Yes there's the merchant but we don't get it every 10 runs either. Hey now, Sandstorm Temple USED to drop Sacred Vials and Pet Packs from hard mode, tell me what happened ? Because they have been removed from the dungeon tooltip. (they now drops only in Shadowmoor HM, last boss has 900m+ hp btw)

- Premium Transformation Stone : I don't know yet about this, thought about making it unable to fail but highly increase the mats required to transmute one stone. (as long as the mats make a total of 300-400g)
One flaw about this > whales would craft billions of pts due to that, would risk to break the economy ? I suppose.

Miscelleanous (whatever for me, still worth mentioning) >

. When you sell outfits, etc.. I wish you would actually sell parts differently as well : I wanted to buy the Summer Saga a while ago but it was too expensive, however I just wanted the outfit for my Jin, I couldn't care less about getting the variant version for rats + the accessory thing... sadly.

. The crafting material chests are useless. The crafting material acquirement should change anyway.. these chests are taking drops for nothing, everyone always skip them most of the time.

. While it's whatever for me, a lot of people would like a whole revamp of this damn Cross-server dungeon for obvious reasons.

. And much for : server ping, 24-players zones, more Wheel of Fates (+ boss) where we could win much better items, making Windrest great again, removing the daily quest limit thing (30 dailies for no-lifes is too little s:), remove Pristine Oil and let us switch path with dark/light stones + some other random items for weapons - something else for soul like idk.

And I probably pass some other things..

You can name all the troubles and problems the games have BOTTOM LINE  ...  NCSoft is just in it for the quick buck .... they don't give a damn about us... our thoughts... our concerns...our suggestions. They just want money ... fast.

Well NCSoft here is a suggestion .... just skip all this stuff .... just offer for 1000 dollars for a fully maxed out character (gear, weapons, gems ..ect) do the final fight sequence .... grab your money and let players that actually wanted to play a good fantasy MMORPG a chance to go and find one .... because as of now you aren't it.

I don't know what you want us to do anymore. You give us nothing to do, but still expect us to log in and spend money on you. ???? Hello?

This is all I can think of for now (I said as I dropped a 300 pound complaint list), but yeah...

I agree on almost everything. I remember rewatching the blade and soul launch streams and they sayd that their costumes wont have an absurd price.. they sayd that they would mostly cost around 10dollars. Though before i knew this fact i actually bought a costume for around 30 dollars.

You forgot one thing in this game. The rng is crap at its best. So if you need something you have to cope with this rng. The drops in the raids is complete crap (rng based). You mentioned TOI, just forget this. Its a complete waste of time as it is rng based (u need luck its not an achivement, so forget it).

The only in my mind balanced stoff is one vs one and tag in arena. Any other stuff is just bad programmed. But you have to go through it, as u need the stuff.

One remark to all: NCSOF has just the interest to earn money. So they will do anything to earn a lot. The taktics to create new bait classes is common sense in the business. Also to increase the pain in the game if you dont buy anything. Last but not least: The games then tend to become pay to win. BNS is not a total P2W but on a straigt way to it.

Yeah after losing the weekly challenge gold everything is too expensive now.

Running the same tired daily challenge with the same ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ 1.2k AP only people is exhausting.

So I just float around not even playing now, most of my clan quit after the weekly challenges stopped paying out. Never see em anymore.

Update: Im very worried now. I am struggling to find new players at Zulia/F8. Only advanced players. This isn't good!

Used to introduce newbies to naryu labyrinth, poharan, sogun, nexus, and help random queus at Iron tech forgery, naryu sanctum, but now I barely see newbies instead full hms+11 parties :tears:

Truth is simple NCSOFT cares only about money
They dont care about players or quality of games. Or our problems. Games are just cash grab scheme to them. Create good game, then slowly kill it by making it infested with pay to win and other crap. They also love killing games. Sure you could say, that games died because they were bad. I doubt it. Only thing bad was NC SOFT and their greed.  They already killed:
City of Heroes
Tabula Rasa

Master x Master (this one is their biggest "achievement". I'm pretty sure they are proud of killing game in 6 months
Wildstar. Yes its closing this November.
So tell me NCSOFT..what's next in your list?. Which game is about to die next? Lineage2, AION or blade and soul?

By the way. Your event is so "awesome" that I went to play secret world legends instead. By the way they have better, less annoying upgrade system than yours. Only sacrificial item or upgrade item (its up to you which one to use) to upgrade gear. To get better quality just fuse two max weapon levels+ some of currency into one. No tons of sousltones, elysian orbs or god knows what to reach next stage...

Maybe the fact that your character is already HM10 when you finish the story has something to do with this?
