Gunner's E

When can a gunner use his E skill?  Very frequently even if i have hooks, E skill is greyed out, and cannot be used.  thanks.  And why is it sometimes i can see my hook count above the HP bar, and sometimes i cannot?

You should able use E every time you have hooks. You can generate hooks using lmb every 12 seconds.

it is definitely not the case.  You do not want to know how many times i failed to dodge those giant snowballs in Yeti cave even with 5 hooks on me.

you can't use e to "jump" to a higher level ground with gunslinger, like in that yeti zone. If your going uphill, u can't use it.

 

Edit: you can jump to same level ground or downhill only

i am not trying to jump, just trying to dash forward.  E skill is greyed out, so i cannot.

If theres a way going up (or on bridges), your E will sometimes grey out, yes. 

You might wanna try first spec of E, it should always hook, even if it's just on the spot.

 

First spec in general has less issues - even in arena. You can hook into a wall and just hook on your spot to iframe - you can't do that with the 2nd spec.

 

For 2nd spec, try to jump before you hook - if the way goes up.

 

Didnt have any other situations where E didn't work.
