Abbreviation Help

I see a lot of people say VT, BT, and CC. What do they mean? 

 

I've been playing for quite a while and this is my first time actually going into endgame content. Is there any other abbreviations i need to know so i'm not lost when i'm looking to party up with others?

 

I know msp is Midnight Skypetal Plains, but that is about all i know.

Correct me if I'm wrong but...

 

VT = Temple of Eluvium

BT = Skybreak Spire

CC = Crowd control skills (stun, daze, knock-down)

BB=Blue Buff a.k.a FIghting Spirit.
GHS = Grand Harvest Square.

Res=Resurrection, bring people back to death (pressing F thingy)

LF= Looking For

 

Plus some in dg term like :

-Taxi - when you have assassin, he/she can teleport your party to next room.. when you see that being shouted in chat.. stay in your place or gather at  the place the assassin show

-sin - Assassin

Asura - (12 m asura dungeon) 

 

And all classes have abbreviations. 

Wl - warlock (often called sb also) 

Sin - assassin (often called bb also) 

Bm - blademaster (often called tank) 

Kfm - kung fu master (often called bb or tank) 

Gun - gunner (often called reset) 

Sf - soulfighter

Sum or scum - summoner

Fm - force master

Bd - bladedancer

Des - destroyer

There are a lot abbreviations even some for doing mechanics in dungeons which you will learn as you learn the mechanics for them. For example DT which means Desolate tomb, there are abbreviations for the roles if you ever do hm, which means hard mode, such as 2, 3-3, 3-9.

IF= irontech forge

EC= Ebondrake Citadel

EL= ebondrake lair

FAS= fallen aransu school

NF= Naryu Foundry

NS= Naryu Sanctum 

SSM= Starstone Mines

HH= Hollows heart

I feel like someone should do a list of all the abbreviations lol

SS - depends on what they refer to such as

Soulshield ex. BT SS = Raven Soulshield

Soulstone - mainly used for upgrading or crafting

Backstep (since you tap S twice) - commonly used to iframe (dodge)

i  have a gunner, please don't use 'res' for gunners. use "AC" instead, it is a short form for Alpha Call which is gunner's skill for resetting. it would be less confusing that way.

This could be a regional/server difference, but at least I haven't seen these used much on Yura. 

FAS = Fallen Aransu School; I've always seen FAS. I figured 'cause nobody wanted to recruit for school, lol. Or its too many letters to type (correctly)
SJF = Snowjade Fortress; aka your Asura 12m, people liked to differentiate between the 12m and the old 6m dungeon.
AC = Alpha Call; never seen it referred to as reset, nor gunner class called reset,

Never seen SJF in jinsoyun (EU). 
I have seen FAS and school. Both are short to type. But that might be because I can type with both my hands and not just one when the other one has a hamburger or something ;)

Lets call gunner:
1) Reset slave of warlocks and bb
2) pleb class no gear high damage
3) I never heard anyone say AC though.

proof then of regional difference, you are on EU, he is on NA. on NA its FAS not school, and gunner is just gunner, reset is called AC to avoid confusion
