character server transfers unavailable

There has been no posted information about this unavailability, or when it will even come back up. Why is the service unavailable? I have friends who transferred just 2 weeks ago but now I cannot transfer myself because of the disabled service.

I created a support ticket the other about this too and the only response was "Regarding your issue, we would like to let you know that the Server Transfer is currently unavailable. We can only advise for you to lookout for any update on our official website and forum." which was not helpful at all. No duh it is currently unavailable.
