Casualgamer82
I just hit level 50 on one of my toons and I'm getting "hongmoon arts xp". Shouldn't it just be regular xp?
Annysan
As far as I understand it, you have to finish act 7 before you continue lvling to 55, which I find kinda dumb, but thats what I read so far (my characters all finished the story before the update came, so I started at the new act)
Casualgamer82
Thanks for the reply! Yep, from what I'm reading and asked in chat it seems that way. I'm very disappointed as a returning player because now I have 3 level 50s all stuck at beginning of act 5 which means I have to go through 3 acts just to start leveling to the cap. Since this game has a rather enjoyable leveling experience imo, i wouldn't mind except to do the story more than once is monotonous and tedious. Of course, as always if you want to spend a truck load of money in their store you can buy level 50 vouchers which allow you to start at act 8. Leveling is fairly easy, you can easily get to 55 within 2-3 hours (At least if you have that much time to spare. If you're starting from act 5 it may take a bit longer. It took me only an hour or so to get to 55) If you're a returning player, it'll also give you some gear and extra AP and stats that could help you. LunaticAzure
In my opinion, it's not a bad thing to get a few hongmoon levels before going to 55. You'll get 5 points every hongmoon level to invest in atk/def and get a big bonus every couple of points.

Ok, but here is my issue and why I waited until now to respond. While I did realize the Acts are shorter than the first 4 I was wondering about the levels of mobs and bosses. As it turns out I was correct. I'm stuck on act 6 because the mobs and bosses have reached level 52-53 while I am still 50(as mentioned above I can't level until I get to act 8). So wtf??? I mean are we now forced to group in order to do our story quests? No way can I solo 53 bosses and I assume act 7 would bring 54 level mobs and bosses with me still at 50. This is an absolute mess imo for us returning players who not only have to adjust with the new mechanics but also try to level against mobs/bosses 3-4 levels higher. How does this make sense? Am I now forced to do blue quests just to get some HM levels so I can stack defense? I mean wth...grinding is one thing but going up against mobs above your own level is just asinine development.... So after much dying and a lot of dodging enemies I was finally able to get to where I needed to and complete the quest. The boss at the end ironically was only level 51. I'm not sure what idiot developer thought it would be fun to put a bunch of 53 level bosses just to get to the level 51 boss but w/e at this point.
