Would masterwork shield bases be wasted on MSP ss?

After this latest patch my crit has gone from 65% to 54% and i'm wondering whether it would be worth using the masterwork shield base bundles to boost the crit on my msp set (they're already maxed with blue crit bases) or whether i should switch to BT set and max those instead until i can eventually get into VT.

of course BT set, why u need to waste 60 moonstone crystal for outdate msp ss 8 set

and the stat u get from fuse is rng too

only if you would be a sin then you could infuse pierce into that and be 1 hiting with air mine.
