Kichwas
So I'm kinda new here. I posted a few times last week when I was on a trip. Back in the states, looking through my characters, and a level 50 token, and trying to pick a plan. I usually always play tanks or something melee, but I also like the Warlock here. I strongly suspect that in the long run I'll end up "maining" a blademaster or a kung fu master. But right now I have BM, KFM, Warlock - all around level 11-13. Going to delete one and replace it with the 50 token. So... Should make a 50 of what I expect will be my main, or what I expect will be my alt? - Is it going to be a lot of help to level up the main the 'hard way', or something I could basically "figure out at the end because play at max level is so different from leveling anyway"? Also, about how quick is leveling anyway? My experience so far was highly 'odd' because I was just playing for a few hours in the evenings while in Asia... Most MMOs burn you through the first few levels silly fast, and then slow into a grind - and no idea how it will be here.
Quizotic
(my personal opinion) honestly, boosting puts you a 1-2 weapon lvl's behind lvling the hard way, however you can easily farm the mats for a weapon upgrades in other ways. So I'd say boost what you plan to main and lvl alts through casual play on the side (an hour here and there) . this is a pretty grind heavy game so getting a leg up and getting started now for your main is going to be a big help. As for how long it takes to lvl, if you just do the yellow "main story" quests you should be able to get done and up to the current new act in about a half a day or so, and the new act takes about 3-4 hours to finish. best of luck and welcome to the game
Kichwas
Thanks for the advice. I did just that. I used the 50 token on a blademaster and have been sitting in the training room figuring out all the buttons... but I'm on my way now. :)
